Rapper Ice Cube’s BIG3 is back again for an exciting matchup between the best. Three new basketball stars have joined the league this year: Paul Millsap, Jeff Teague, and Greg Monroe. Jeff Teague has taken up the position of the newest captain of the 3 Headed Monsters. While he is happy to be back on the court, one opponent, ‘Iso Johnson’, gave him tough competition.
During the latest episode of The Club 520 podcast, Teague revealed how Johnson challenged him. “I actually had a great time bro, like to see guys that you once played against, play with. Like going against Paul Millsap, the first game that was fun as hell man, to see Paul still got it. See Joe Johnson, my old vet, he giving me a hard time. All these guys, man. Its cool just to reminisce about old times and still feel you kinda need the NBA a little bit. They treat you great,” Teague said on the show.
Teague further mentioned that he is happy to play alongside his brother, Marquis Teague, who is also part of the league. After the launch of BIG3 in 2017, Johnson made his debut in 2019. In September of the same year, Johnson won the BIG3 championship playing for the Triplets. He is also well known for his performance in the NBA and leagues overseas.

Despite the controversy surrounding the NBA and BIG3, the BIG3 league has been quite successful among fans and veterans. Shaquille O’Neal once advocated for it as well. However, the founder of the league, Ice Cube, is still upset about how the NBA hasn’t been cooperative with his initiative.
Recently, he claimed Adam Silver and the NBA “feel threatened” by the growth of BIG3. Interestingly, there is also an investigation against the NBA by the Department of Justice. According to reports, the NBA is allegedly accused of manipulating the coverage of the league.
“We definitely need everybody’s support. The @nba and @espn are doing everything in their power to ignore or destroy @thebig3,” Ice Cube posted on X last year. However, NBA spokesperson Michael Bass clarified to TMZ that the allegations are false. He further suggested that while the organization refused to sponsor BIG3, it is supportive of the league. Regardless, the BIG3 league has been great so far.
