The Los Angeles Lakers seem to have lost track of their losses by now. It’s safe to say that the Lakers are one of their worst runs in recent years, and this is inviting opinions and critique from everyone. Recently, NBA veteran Vince Carter aired out his disappointment with the LA franchise.
But Carter didn’t come to only criticize the team, he had some suggestions for them as well. The NBA veteran said that there is no doubt that the Lakers are going through a rough patch, but he believes there is one person who can save them.

Carter was recently on the Run It Back show where he was asked about the current state of the LA franchise. He said that it has been a weird year for them as they have lost 7 of the last 10 games. When asked about who should be blamed for this mess, he said, “I personally don’t think you can put the fault in one place… the first person to look at is the coach.” But in this situation, the coach can’t be circled out as well. However, there is one person who holds more responsibility than the others, and that is the GM.
He said, “I think it’s a mixture of everything”, that is responsible for the Lakers’ downfall. The 8x NBA All-Star said that the team has been in similar situations in the past as well, but this time, “it’s the GM’s responsibility to fix these problems.” Carter said that the team is going through several problems inside and outside the locker room and it is the GM’s responsibility to fix it. He also said that LeBron James is “disgruntled” and there are some players that the Lakers are looking to bring in.

So, if the GM acts upon sound advice and gives his coach a good enough roster to operate with, we might get to see the Lakers finally turning things around for good. As of now, the Lakers have slipped to the 11th position on the Western Conference charts with a record of 19-21 so far this season.
