Wonder what happens when meeting a childhood crush becomes a reality? For Gabrielle Union, it’s a heartwarming and humorous story. Union, actress, and wife of NBA legend Dwyane Wade, reminisces on an interview the moment she met her celebrity crush during a re-enactment of a popular series and the stunned situation she found herself in.

When interviewer Mike Jackson asked UnionWhat is your all-time favorite Hollywood Crush not named Dwayne?” she revealed that it was none other than Stony Jackson. “That is Stony Jackson… he was in Streets of Fire and T.J. hooker and he had a curl at the time he was, to me, so hot,” said Gabrielle Union. Although she had never met Jackson, this changed when she was at a live reboot for “The Facts of Life” back in 2021.

Gabrielle, who played Tootie Ramsey was hanging out with the original cast after the show when she saw Jackson stepping out of a trailer with Snoop Dogg. ‘The Perfect Find’ actress was in such elation, she couldn’t even get words out while asking Snoop Dogg to introduce them. It was then only natural she remained spellbound before the ‘Trippin’ actor. “I just said, ‘Stony Jackson I just have to tell you [I might start crying] how much I loved you and like you are so fine. You are still fine’,” she recalls the exchange amidst a star-studded crowd.

Gabrielle Union was working alongside Will Arnett, Jennifer Aniston, and Kevin Hart, among other notable names for the re-enactment. “Once in a lifetime opportunity,” she had called it as she was presented the opportunity to honor Kim Fields, playing as Tootie. She went on to receive the gratitude back from Fields for embracing the role so well. “Bravo, Gabrielle,” she had applauded.

Union has grown over the years to find herself among the biggest names of the industry and in heaps of praises all whilst being grateful and humble. Her beginnings, however, might not have foreseen the journey in store.

Gabrielle Union kicked off her career in the entertainment industry as an intern for the Fontaine modeling school agency. At the end of the internship, she was recognized to end up a model. She continued on the path until her agency learned she could act when she showed interest in the field. But to start off, she needed something on her resume which led her agents to make a fake one.

“They had made up a fake resume before they sent me out on an audition. They were like, with each job, you will get a fake thing off and pretty soon, my resume was real and I was working non stop,” she revealed on The Old Man and the Three podcast.

Union had soon landed one of the biggest global franchises, Bad Boys. Union doubted is she was fit for the role, believing the character required someone more biracial, multi-racial, ambiguous, and exotic. However, her view changed when Jerry Bruckheimer, asked, “Are you ready for what this is gonna do to your life?” She sure rose to the challenge.
