The former G League star shared a message from James Ennis III, on his Instagram story. “Keep chasing brother keep showing up keep knocking on that door they will let You in end.” Zaire added a 4-word reply to his dad’s former Heat teammate. “hungry dogs run faster.” This explains why he is still hungry for the dream to play in the NBA. Even the 23-year-old’s father encouraged him recently to continue thriving this year.
“23. We celebrate my YNG 👑 on his day. 23 years ago you came into this world and changed my life forever, you made me feel something that made me wanna be the best version of me. Enjoy Wade County tonite🫡 ZWade I love you!” Alongside this, the 3x NBA Champion also added a Michael Jordan analogy to his story. “Your jordan year…Year 23.” After all, he knows the struggle and efforts his son putting in to materialize the NBA dream.

Even the words from Ennis III are inspiring, because he last played in the league back in 2022. During his eight-year spell in the league, he represented 10 different teams. Since then he has been playing in overseas leagues and last played for Shijiazhuang Xianglan of the Chinese National Basketball League. So, the 34-year-old is the right person to understand what Zaire is going through.

A few weeks ago, the eldest child in the Wade family added an Instagram story of him practicing. In that clip, the former G-league star even executed a move that reminded the fans about the Flash. The footage he used was from the security camera, where he receives the ball just outside the paint and he ferociously dunks.

He continues to train hard this year, after the setback from the G-league last year. As first reported by GTV Hoops, Zaire entered the 2024 G-League Draft on October 26. However, a Bleacher Report final list did not feature Dwyane Wade’s son’s name. Although there was no official announcement regarding Zaire going undrafted. The official list of G-league was during the Miami Heat unveiling the statue of their franchise icon.

That’s why even Dwyane Wade wants his son to have a Jordan year. Basically, achieve everything that the others keep doubting him for. It will be interesting where and how Zaire progresses in his journey, but it’s good that he hasn’t given up.
