Dwyane Wade cemented his legacy with a statue outside the Kaseya Center. But during the celebratory weekend, his son received a piece of bad news as he was undrafted into the G-League draft. Which certainly puts a huge dent in his current NBA plans. But that result has not bothered the 22-year-old as he continues to focus on himself. Plus, he might also have future plans secured if the dream never works out.
On his Instagram, Dwyane Wade’s eldest added a post with the caption, “story’s not finished yet.” In that post, he is hooping in the Next Level Basketball court located on Pembroke Road, Hollywood, Florida. The footage he used was from the security camera, where the former G-league star receives the ball just outside the paint, which leads him to fly through towards the basket. The Heat legend also commented “🧬” on his son’s endeavor, giving him more confidence.
In September, Zaire added a similar post. “‘Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement’’⌚️.” Where one can see him dribbling, passing to his teammates, setting screens, and successfully shooting beyond the arc. His persistence and passion have never been questioned, because to chase the NBA dream, Dwayne Wade’s son has traveled to different continents to keep the fire burning.

Zaire began his career alongside Bronny James in Sierra Canyon during their high school days. But Z-Wade later moved to Brewster Academy and developed as a three-star high school athlete. Unlike his father, who chose Marquette, Zaire decided to go pro instead of playing college basketball. He instead chose G-League, and in the draft was the 10th overall pick, and that’s where the good part ends.
During that time, he averaged 3.2 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.6 assists where he was not a starter. And then G-league came to Cape Town Tigers in South Africa, and Macau Black Bears in China. But that too didn’t go his way, as the result of the 2024 G-league draft was not in his favor. However, he already has a backup plan as he continues to navigate the life of a superstar son.

Zaire’s speech on statue reveal day brought tears to his father’s eyes. Later, they even did a podcast on the 3x NBA Champion’s channel, where the future of Dwyane Wade’s son was also discussed. “Taking it day by day right now, enjoying the close friends around me, keeping a family close, of course. Training really takes up half my schedule nine days, just trying to keep my dream alive.” Zaire Wade would later hint about his future move.
“Besides that, I’m trying to get into the content world, so hence, my first time on the Pod, got a new YouTube, I just did a little self-promotion there, but um, besides that, taking it day by day.” So, Dwyane Wade’s son is starting his own YouTube journey. As per ‘Polaris Market Research’, the entire digital content creation market in 2023 was $30.34 Billion.
