Remember that line, “He’s a friend from work”, when Mighty Thor spotted Hulk in the arena? Yeah, this feels similar. Heat legends and longtime teammates Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem are teaming up again, but this time on a brand-new stage. Instead of battling for rebounds and buckets, they’ll join Amazon Prime’s NBA analyst panel for the network’s debut coverage this season.

Wade, standing just 6-foot-4, constantly battled Haslem in the paint for boards, and sometimes, those collisions got hilariously personal during games. Wade’s fearless aggression near the rim was a signature part of his game. And yep, it definitely annoyed Haslem at times. Now, years later, the two legends will reunite as broadcast teammates alongside Steve Nash and Candace Parker for Prime’s upcoming NBA lineup.

Both Wade and Haslem have already made names for themselves in TV, appearing on ESPN and launching their own popular online podcasts. This move feels like a natural fit for both, and thankfully, the duo didn’t waste any time sharing their excitement about it. Haslem shared a post on his Instagram story that featured the four faces of the broadcasting team. And he commented, “Looking forward to getting started 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽@primevideo It’s just work!! @dwyanewade @candaceparker @stevenash”

But he wasn’t the first in the line, it was Dwyane Wade who took the first initiative. Wade also shared the same poster but 1 hour earlier than Haslem. And with a caption that said, “Back with the best teammates ever! @ud40 @candaceparker”

And honestly, he wasn’t wrong. Those two used to bring havoc on teams together on the court, and it seems like they’re keeping that vibe alive. The Miami Heat even joined the celebration, posting a throwback of Wade and Haslem holding their championship trophies on Instagram. They paired it with Amazon Prime’s congratulatory message, proving the franchise still loves seeing their old legends link up off the court.

Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem shared incredible chemistry, but their mindsets on the court couldn’t have been more different sometimes. While Haslem carried that classic “never back down” brawler attitude, Wade was the quiet assassin type who let his game speak. And if you don’t believe it, let’s hear it straight from the man himself. Because Wade once opened up about an incident that will show you the difference.

What’s your perspective on:

Can Wade and Haslem bring the same heat to broadcasting as they did on the court?

Dwyane Wade spills how Udonis Haslem checked his loyalty over Jeremy Lin’s sneaker swap

The bond between Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem was never the picture-perfect friendship people imagined. It was built on tough love, brutal honesty, and a mutual hunger for winning. Over the years, the duo collected three championships together. And also spent more than a decade battling side by side in Miami. But with two completely different personalities, disagreements were bound to happen, and boy, did they.

While they worked seamlessly on the court, their contrasting personalities often led to heated moments off it. One such moment was when Wade recalled an instance during a playoff run when he tried to hand Jeremy Lin his fallen sneaker. Haslem, however, was having none of it. Wade explained, “I picked the man’s shoe up, and I was giving the man his shoe, and you slapped it out of my hand,” Wade said. “I’m like, ‘UD, what the hell?'”

For Haslem, this wasn’t just about picking up a shoe; it was about maintaining a psychological edge. His relentless competitive spirit didn’t allow for anything that could give an opponent even the slightest advantage. Even if that meant a disagreement with his All-Star teammate. Haslem’s response made it clear. “Man, we’re in the playoff run; the man’s trying to give Jeremy Lin his shoe. I would have picked it up and thrown it in the damn garbage” Haslem said.

This specific moment highlights the difference in their approaches. Wade, always the composed, calculated player, was more about the subtle plays and letting his game speak for itself. Haslem, on the other hand, thrived on keeping his opponents off balance. And maintaining an intimidating presence, no matter the situation. Despite these contrasting mindsets, both players achieved remarkable success in their careers. Both of them earned accolades and accomplishments that most players can only dream of.
