After trying his hands at hosting the NBA finals promo, Dwyane Wade seems to be ready for a career in yet another industry. And this choice of path is none other than wife Gabrielle Union Wade’s field of work itself. The 3x NBA champ shared a hilarious moment of his approach for the new job on his official Instagram account.

The video featured Wade acting to be lost in thoughts, pretending to write them down in a diary. “Getting ready for my acting debut Ps (no one has asked me to be in anything haha),” read the caption to his IG story. Meanwhile, a previous story by Wade featured Gabrielle, showcasing her acting skills in the video. “This is what we do in our down time 😂 @gabunion,” stated the caption.

The video also included Dwyane Wade’s NBA trophies, hinting that the shoot location was one of his offices. As for the couple’s acting stint in the two videos, it is well-known that Gabrielle is a popular name in the field. She started her acting career in the Television industry in 1993 and moved to the big screen in 1999.

Union Wade’s most recent project was her 2023 movie, ‘The Perfect Find,’ while her other notable works include ‘Breaking In’, ‘The Inspection’, and ‘The Brothers’. However, it’s not as if her husband, the former Miami Heat star, himself is completely new to this glamor industry.

NBA star, businessman, philanthropist — the former Heat star has been involved in many things. And the entertainment industry is not an exception to this list. In fact, according to IMDB, he was the executive producer of the 2017 documentary ‘Shot in the Dark’.

As for acting, D-Wade was also among the cast members of the 2012 movie ‘What to Expect When You’re Expecting’. Wade played himself in this 2012 release, adorning a dancing role, thus being void of an acting career yet. “I wanted to challenge myself,” he had iterated on taking the project. Apart from this, the 42-year-old has acted in multiple commercials and promos.

The most recent ones include the Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 commercials running during NBA’s Eastern Conference Finals. The spots featured Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony playing as themselves, while also acting as their inner emotions. However, Wade’s IG update might as well have been a passing stint between the couple, considering it has been a usual practice and no wind of his next steps has hit the spectators yet.
