Gabrielle Union is one of the more well-known faces in the basketball world. As the wife of 3-time champion Dwyane Wade, she is a part of one of the NBA’s most influential couples. This is because she herself is quite a successful individual in Hollywood. Recently she recalled her on-screen rivalry with a legendary actor, who’s also an Oscar nominee.
Wade and Union got hitched in the year 2014 and they share a four-year-old daughter together; Kaavia James Union Wade. The thing that’s unique about their relationship is that Union is almost a decade older than her husband. Gabrielle worked on several legendary projects and she recently reminisced about the time she was part of a fabled project.

Gabrielle Union triggers nostalgia with throwback photo
Bring it On was released in the year 2000 and went on to rake in $90 million. It stars Gabrielle Union and Kirsten Dunst in the lead, playing the part of a cheerleading team who were going against each other. It was one of the most popular projects at the beginning of the 21st century.

Gabrielle Union reposted an artwork on her social media handle where she and Kirsten Dunst can be seen facing off.
The post was captioned, “❤️🖤Bring It On 💚🧡 Also someone said this is Thread vs Spill 😭🤣Reuploading because IG formatting “ Kirsten Dunst’s acting prowess was on display in the 2021 film, The Power of the Dog. The Oscars nominated her for her powerful performance.
It was certainly a unique time 23 years ago, when both Dunst and Union fought for the national cheerleading title in Bring it On.

Of course, Union also has some exciting new projects coming up. She recently opened up about a recent film that was close to her heart.

Wife of Dwyane Wade “found the wound”
The 50-year-old actress took part in a rather special movie where she was portraying the role of a mother who has kicked her 25 year old son out of the house for being gay. The Inspection came out on 18 November, 2022.
Union revealed that she took inspiration from her own life as her step son is also part of the LGBTQ community. She said, “She was full of rage, and she couldn’t direct it at the institution because she had dug in, so she directed it at her child because she got sold a bill of goods. Oh, you found the wound. Welcome. And then it started to fester and grow like a f—–g cancer.”
