Like father, like son—a proud phrase for any high-achieving father to hear. And Tiger Woods just became that. His 15-year-old son, Charlie Woods, is carving out his own legacy in the world of golf. Most recently, he has been grabbing all the attention in his involvement at the PNC championship alongside his father. And his latest achievement there has left everyone impressed, including Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade.

Just this Sunday morning, Charlie Woods stunned the golfing world with his first career hole-in-one. The clip was shared by Ace Golf Club and re-shared by Dwyane Wade on his Instagram story. “Welcome to the ACE Club! @ace.membersonly,” the 3x NBA champ captioned his IG story.

For those unaware, Wade has himself been a proud member of this exclusive club ever since his first hole-in-one at Pebble Beach. Yep, like many NBA stars, ‘The Flash’ has been an avid golf fan ever since he hung his basketball sneakers. Taking his love for the sport into consideration, it’s no wonder he was left impressed by Charlie Woods’ remarkable stroke.

“It was a perfect 7-iron, so I just kind of hit it… Just 175, a little down off the left, little cut seven… I didn’t think it went in. I don’t believe anybody until I go up there and see it,” the 15-year-old said. His father, Tiger, meanwhile, was brimming with pride, which could only have been furthered by a 3x NBA champ cheering for his son. Wade’s connection with Tiger Woods, however, goes way back.

The time when Tiger Woods mentored Dwyane Wade

Imagine standing on a golf course, not just playing, but learning from Tiger Woods himself. That’s exactly where Dwyane Wade found himself after a shoot for Golf Digest. The Heat icon has been a big-time fan and supporter of Tiger.

“When we all watch Tiger, you feel hope… Every time we see him with a golf club in his hand on the green, we all think he can win…” Wade’s statement during Woods’ Master’s tournament is a testament to his love and support. So, one can imagine his excitement at having the chance to receive tips from the arguable GOAT of the sport.

“He taught me a few things. Hopefully, it will translate,” Wade said of receiving Tiger as his instructor for a shoot the aforementioned shoot of Golf Digest. Their time together, however, wasn’t just about golf. As two proud dads, their conversation naturally shifted to family.

As per what the former Heat star revealed during one of his appearances on Inside the NBA, Woods shared stories about his father and, further in the conversation, opened up about his children, Sam and Charlie. From hearing their stories to celebrating one of their success, Dwyane Wade‘s bond with Woods has clearly come a long way.
