Dwyane Wade is currently enjoying his time at his alma mater. The 3x NBA champion went to Marquette University in Milwaukee, where he represented the Marquette Golden Eagles men’s basketball. He has posted several pictures and clips from his trip to the University on his social media.
One post in particular is really sweet, where Wade has rated his father’s lesser-known skills. The Miami Heat legend is there to support his college team, who also registered their name in the basketball history books. However, it is Dwyane Wade Sr. who is showcasing a special skill.

Initially, Wade was more into football and he was impressive as a wide receiver. However, he tasted real success as a basketball player, when he was recruited by Marquette University. From 2000 to 2003, he represented the Milwaukee-based University and led his college in scoring consecutive years. In 2007, Marquette retired his jersey which was an exception at the time because only those students who graduate get their jersey retired. Wade had skipped senior year in college to enter the 2003 NBA draft where he was drafted by the Heat as fifth overall pick.
Wade and his father are really close. Earlier this year, during his Hall of Fame induction, the 41-year-old invited his father on stage, to flex the fact that they have come so far in their lives. Recently, during his visit to Marquette, Dwyane found out that his father is good at sports commentary. Post-game, Wade entered the court to shoot some unusual free throws as his target was some garbage bins. While the Heat legend was making buckets, Wade Sr. was behind the camera, doing the commentary. Dwyane posted the clip on his Instagram story, rating his father’s skills. He gave his dad a solid 3/5, stating that it’s “light work.”
