There’s a new All-Star under the Sky Boss’ reign. And he’s going to let everyone know. Since coming into Chicago Sky’s ownership group, Dwyane Wade has been reveling in every milestone as a team owner. From drafting one of the top prospects from the NCAA to her record-breaking start, and now a bona fide All-Star. Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark are the only rookies to make the WNBA All-Star selection. Naturally D-Wade is overjoyed. That’s his daughter’s inspiration after all.

A day after Reese made history breaking Candace Parker’s double-double record, she made All-Star. Chicago Sky flaunted their rookie’s new title on social media writing, ” That’s. Our. All-Star. Barbie…In her FIRST season in the WNBA, Angel Reese has been named to her first All-Star Game!

Pretty much sending a message to all her critics, Wade shared the Chicago Sky’s official celebratory post on his Instagram Stories. “Y’all gonna listen when [Angel Reese]  speaks. Congrts All [star emoji]” he wrote.

This All-Star selection also makes Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark teammates for the first time. The All-Star team will play against the US Olympic team led by veterans A’Ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart on July 20 in Phoenix. Clark received 700,735 votes, the most in the selection, while Reese was fifth with 381,518 votes. D-Wade is one of the NBA veterans (including Shaquille O’Neal) who has defended her against haters amid her rivalry with Clark. And the respect is mutual.

The Sky lost to the Lynx on Sunday, but Angel Reese made WNBA history with 10 straight double-double stats and won Rookie of the Month. Dwyane Wade celebrated her achievement by sharing the news on his Stories with fire emojis. However, it’s another Wade that has all of Reese’s adoration.

Kaavia Union-Wade is the no.1 Angel Reese fan from the moment she found out that her nickname is ‘Barbie.’ When she wanted to make an Angel Reese shirt, Wade let it be known that there’s only the Chi-Town Barbie in the Wade household. Reese responded to the cuteness with, “Love my girl.”

Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union are grateful to Angel Reese for being the best role model their daughters could ask for. Wade recently weighed in on the Clark-Reese debate, claiming that Angel’s impact on growing the Chicago Sky is undeniable. As the team’s co-owner, he knows her influence best.
