It has been quite some time now since Dwyane Wade expanded his wings beyond the limits of basketball. While he is involved in various social causes, and businesses, Way of Wade is one part of all this. WOW is a collaboration between Wade and Li-Ning (a Chinese sportswear and sports equipment company). And it has now come up with its latest release, Way of Wade 11.

The former Miami Heat star has taken to his official Instagram account to promote the sneakers in a promotional video shared by him and Kicks Crew. “I’m here with Kicks Crew to show off my latest signature shoe… Every step in this shoe tells a story about my life. The wins, the losses, my upbringing, and most importantly, strength of my family…” Wade said in the video.

Notably, the sneakers are a collaborative product of Kicks Crew and WOW. Kicks Crew is a New York-based global digital marketplace primarily focusing on sneakers. Earlier, during a discussion on the launch of the latest sneakers, the 3x NBA champ expressed his excitement to partner with the company. He believes the company shares his vision, as this latest release is more than just a shoe for Wade. “It’s a representation of my ongoing journey and the next chapter of my evolution,” he said, as per an SI article.

It is worth mentioning the signature line was launched in 2012 and so far has witnessed five performance basketball models. The Li-Ning Way of Wade 11 is the latest addition as a flagship release. The WOW logo, which represents four key pillars — family, basketball, charity, and fashion — for Wade has always been a crucial aspect of the line of sneakers. The latest edition also features a new variation of the logo.

As per an SI article, the latest sneakers by WOW included a premium leather upper, offering stability and lockdown support while also promising durability. The article further mentioned the inclusion of the EVA Frame in the midsole. This addition is likely to stabilize the midsole structure further and show stability during lateral movements.

Stability has been a key focus in the sneakers, as evident from the addition of carbon plates in the midsole. Apart from stability, this will also focus on maximizing boom cushioning and the energy return. Some other key aspects of the WOW 11 include TPU Heel Counter and GCU Outsole.

KICKS CREW COO Ross Adrian Yip had stated this edition as a dream project. “… This collaboration manifests the Way of Wade series for the world’s audience and KICKS CREW is dedicated to connecting the Way of Wade series to a global audience,” he said, as per the SI article. Recently released, the Li-Ning Way of Wade 11 ‘305’ will be available for purchase at KICKSCREW.COM and wayofwade.com for a reported $225.
