“Over the moon.” Dwyane Wade has been on an emotional high since late October when he was honored with a statue outside the Miami Heat’s arena. Those emotions seemed to carry right through to his youngest daughter Kaavia’s sixth birthday when he shared a heartfelt note and glimpses of their celebration, capturing the love and pride he feels for her. Yet, the birthday festivities didn’t end there as Wade also enjoyed a special time with his wife, Gabrielle Union.

Recently, a few adorable snippets from Dwyane Wade’s daughter Kaavia’s Barbie-themed birthday party made their way onto social media from Kaavi’s own Instagram account. However, they showcased more than just the sweet father-daughter connection. One highlight from the carousel of Instagram clips captured the former Heat star hitting the dance floor alongside his wife, Gabrielle Union. The two looked totally in sync, wrapped in each other’s arms, sharing a hug and beaming as they enjoyed a lively couple’s dance.

The Instagram carousel was a beautiful collection of moments, showcasing the all-pink theme for Kaavia’s sixth birthday celebration. Among the snaps was a heartwarming family photo, along with a solo shot of Kaavia herself, looking absolutely adorable in a glittery pink dress. However, it was the couple’s A-game to the dance floor, sporting pink outfits to keep up with the theme and playful vibes which brought the touch.

It’s no surprise, though, that the couple carved out a special moment for themselves as this year holds extra significance for the duo, marking a milestone in their own relationship: they celebrated 10 years of marriage back in August. The love between them was undeniable, with Union sharing a heartfelt Instagram post to commemorate the occasion, writing, “10 toes down, 10 years in, forever to go.”

Yet, despite being together for all these years, the couple still find little quirks about each other that keep things interesting. Take Wade’s throat-clearing habit, for example. According to Union, it’s a small but persistent irritation.

“My husband’s a throat clearer. And I don’t know why, it incites a level of rage in me every f—ing time… He’s like (Ahem-Ahem)…And I’m like, ‘there’s nothing in there’. It’s just like a tick,” said Union recently during a podcast. But the throat-clearing isn’t the only habit that gets under Gabrielle Union’s skin. According to her, Dwyane Wade has a few more quirks that aren’t exactly her favorites.

From constantly leaving the toothpaste cap off to his go-to sweatpants-heavy wardrobe, Wade’s habits have a way of testing Union’s patience. It seems like even in a decade of marriage, these little annoyances still manage to pop up—though, of course, they only add to the charm of their relationship.

Despite these occasional frustrations, Union has always been clear about one thing: her love for Wade is unconditional. Their playful banter, she says, is one of the things that keeps their relationship strong. In her heartfelt 10th anniversary post on Instagram, Union wrote, “Through sickness and health, crisis and celebrations, through bad golf days and flubbed lines and new adventures—We stand united and we thrive.” Because in the end, even the most perfect couples have their little quirks.
