How can a team show disparity to the players with an odd locker room setup? Doesn’t this sound confusing or surprising? Well, this is what the below story is all about. Three former Miami Heat veterans Mike Miller, Udonis Haslem, and Mike Bibby, joined together to look back into their days in the NBA, where the latter shared an unearthed story about the Cleveland Cavaliers and their locker room setup, which pissed a few players. If you are still confused, here is a story from Bibby and Miller, which stars LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh, who were a reason for the disparity.

Bibby was a guest on Miller and Haslem’s podcast show, The OGs. Bibby played 17 seasons in the NBA, out of which his second last season was with the Miami Heat. He had the chance to witness the Heat’s Big 3 of LeBron James, Wade, and Bosh. As he was the guest for the podcast, Miller wanted Bibby to recall a memorable story he had with the Heat franchise. Here is what the 46-year-old had to share.

“Tell me if you remember this. Walking into the Cleveland Cavaliers’ away game in their locker room…the way the locker room was set up,” said Bibby, and all three started laughing. To add some context to the above lines, Miller took over, “In Cleveland’s away locker room, it’s basically split in two. There‘s like a half wall. One area is a lot of room and one doesn’t have much room.” That’s a weird setup, isn’t it?

Anyhow, it became worse after 12 players were made to sit in the small space, while James, Wade, and Bosh were all given the bigger space. Sadly, Bibby, Miller, and Haslem, all three were stuck on the smaller side.

What was the consequence of a split locker room favorable for Wade, James, and Bosh?

12 players on the same side, that too a small one, sounds like a nightmare. Imagine you have to sit next to each other, drenched with sweat and with no place to move. That’s how it felt for Bibby, Haslem, and Miller. Although they find it funny now, it definitely made them angry and confused back then.

“Bron got the whole other side by himself…I grabbed my s*** and said f*** that,” said Haslem, who switched sides. On the other hand, Miller mocked Bibby, “I think that was your welcome to the little twelve moments“, which cracked up the crew.

Bibby shared a few more stories from his days with the Heat. Surprisingly, the 46-year-old has so many memories despite just playing for one season with them. He also played only 22 games that season, but listening to the story, he got great friends like Haslem and Miller there.
