“This is my HOF year. I’m getting married. God is amazing. And I’m so grateful, and I wish Royce nothing but the best peace and [blessings].” At the end of last year, Dwight Howard responded and clarified he wouldn’t engage in back-and-forth with ex. However, his former girlfriend, Royce Reed, dropped several allegations regarding the payment of child support. The former dancer also revealed that their son, Braylon Howard, had no interest in appearing on a reality show with DH-12. In a new twist, the father of 5 recently shared his opinion on his son’s future endeavors.

Braylon Howard added a story on his Instagram with the caption, “Ion need not of yall saying Mini Dwight 😭😭😭😭.” In the story, he 17-year-old was attempting dunks, which his father is famous for. “Y’all love trolling, I’m recreate it just cause, but y’all are trolling and I’m not doing it from 50 feet away.” He even tagged his father in the story, and interestingly, Dwight Howard shared the story on his Instagram. Previously, Reed hinted at her son not being interested in going on the DWTS set.

“He was mad because I pushed him to go on Dancing with Stars. I said no go for the experience…I’m like….go for the experience, not for him and he had a good time because he spent it with his siblings.” And now, Braylon posting the story of ‘not mini Dwight’ doesn’t clarify their current bond. However, fans seem not to have liked the comment. They called out the eldest child of Dwight Howard for “disrespect” towards the former champion.

Let’s not forget that Royce Reed has hinted several times at the tension between the former champion and the 17-year-old. Even Braylon had called out his father for his absent behavior years ago, which the 3x DPOY categorically denied. Reportedly, the former couple is in a legal battle, as the former Magic cheerleader confirmed Dwight Howard had allegedly issued a cease and desist order following her shocking claims, with “escalating statements and potentially defamatory statements made.”

Dwight Howard’s potential HOF induction is marred with personal beef

Last year, the 8x All-Star opened up about his parenthood journey and the mistakes he made. “I don’t regret my kids. I regret how I decided to go about having my children. What I mean is, I have five kids by five women. That’s not really the right example to show for my daughters or my sons.” The former Lakers star has 5 children from 5 different partners. The 6’10 Center’s eldest son was born in 2007 to former Orlando Magic cheerleader Royce Reed.

Reed accused Howard and detailed problems under her account @IHadABabyBySuperman. In multiple posts, she shared the stories of her life from July 31, 2004, to December 2024. However, Dwight Howard wanted to move forward with peace and love and also mentioned that he didn’t wish to fight with his baby mamas.

Currently, because of his hooping career, he is one of the 17 finalists for this year’s HOF induction. Orlando Magic are even prepared to celebrate their icon by inducting them into their HOF. This will make him the 13th inductee into the Orlando Magic Hall of Fame, and the ceremony will happen Monday, March 24. Surely, the induction would mean a lot to the 3x DPOY, but the current personal issues surely leave a sour note.
