“It’s been one hell of a ride 😅 but know that if there is ever a redemption season I’ll be back ready to win with @daniellakaragach 🕺🏾.” Dwight Howard has already issued a challenge for the makers of DWTS that he would be back someday gunning for the Mirror Ball trophy. In the meantime, he also has issued a challenge to Shaquille O’Neal for a boxing match. Recently, DH12 was seen shaking his leg to the song, which was the apparent reason for the beef with the 7 foot 1 phenom.
“@dwighthoward and his kids were the real stars at the DWTS After Party.” Angela Ribeiro, wife of DWTS host Alfonso Ribeiro, shared the story on her Instagram. The former NBA champion was singing and dancing along to the song ‘Crank That’ by Soulja Boy. The hit song has 596 million plus views on YouTube and if you don’t remember the lyrics, here is what DH12 and his kids performed. “Then Superman that, oh Now watch me yuu, Now watch me yuu, Now watch me yuu, Now watch me yuu.”
Now that we know the tune, let’s look back at how it led to beef with the Lakers legend. Two years ago, on Kevin Hart’s show, Dwight Howard revealed the apparent misunderstanding. “I never had an issue with Shaq … I think the confusion is he thought that I was trying to take his nickname, be like him, and stuff like that.” He continued that he loved to dance to the song, which led to the Superman pose. “I used to like to do the dance.”

And the story from Angela Ribeiro, once again, proves that Howard is very much in love with the song. And it is safe to say that he is passing down the steps to his young ones. Speaking about passing, the 38-year-old is not letting the opportunity pass away to fight the Big Aristotle.

Amidst the polarising Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight night, Shaq announced, “Me and Gronk gonna put together NBA vs. NFL. To this, his frenemy replied on X, with a challenge in the form of a boxing bout. “Shaq wassup 🥊 let’s make bread 😂.” However, the 4x NBA Champion was quick to shut down any potential match-up.
“Gotta have more than one ring to get in the ring with me, I’ll stick with a real champion like @RobGronkowski, and you can have the Superman belt, all yours buddy.” The ever-persistent Dwight Howard then questioned Shaquille O’Neal about his true nature and accused him of ducking the fight. But the 3x Finals MVP once again gave a scathing reply and ended his statement with hope for an eventual showdown in the ring.

Currently, it is safe to say that Shaq doesn’t view Howard as a threat, but do you think there is a real chance that this fight will go down in the future? Tell us in the comment section below!
