“The only way to shut people up is just by winning…” Dwight Howard never seems to shift his focus from his own words. And by grace, the year 2025 has been off to a great start for Howard. The former NBA star recently tied the knot with Amy Luciani, and the couple even asked fans for honeymoon suggestions! Not only that, he’s also set to be inducted into the Orlando Magic Hall of Fame. Oh, the big man is on a roll. But that’s not all: the fans might be in for an even bigger surprise. It seems that Howard might have something else cooked up; another unexpected project might be on the horizon.

Hard to hold the suspense for long: fans may soon see Howard on the big screen! A recent video suggests he might be stepping into acting once again. Howard has explored Hollywood before. He made appearances in the basketball-themed film Just Wright and had a role in The Three Stooges. Additionally, he’s voiced animated characters, including a guest spot on Teen Titans Go! Now, it seems like he’s gearing up for another fun role. What’s more? It seems another NBA legend might join hands with him.

But what made everyone talking? Recently, a clip surfaced on Instagram featuring Howard and JaVale McGee playing cops. They pull over two people, make them step out, and then McGee suddenly realizes, I don’t think the cop’s life is for us.” What follows is pure comedy—Howard grabs a bag while the suspects get locked in the trunk. While there’s no confirmation, this could hint at an upcoming cop comedy. Interestingly, Howard’s long-time rival, Shaquille O’Neal, is an honorary officer and has acted in multiple films, including a humorous cop role in Grown Ups 2. Now, Howard seems to be following a similar path, bringing his comedic side to the screen. Whether it’s basketball, marriage, or movies, Howard is making sure this year is one to remember.

Dwight Howard’s beef with Shaq to end anytime soon?

The long-standing tension between Shaquille O’Neal and Dwight Howard recently resurfaced once again. Howard recently appeared on The Gauds Show, where he expressed frustration over his failed attempts to squash his beef with Shaq. Onsite posted a clip from the interview, and soon after, Shaq fired back in the comments.

“I don’t beef with peons, and u have no opportunities,” O’Neal wrote. But that was just the beginning. Taking it a step further, Shaq addressed the situation on X. “Dwight Howard, the fact u think I care about u is funny… Won’t ever say your name again ever again,” he posted.

What’s your perspective on:

Will Dwight Howard's achievements finally silence Shaq, or is their feud destined to continue?

Their rocky history goes back years. The drama started in 2012 when Howard joined the Lakers, a team Shaq had previously led to championships. Then, in 2020, when Howard won a ring with L.A., Shaq dismissed it, implying it wasn’t as meaningful as his own four titles.

Howard, however, insists he never meant to challenge Shaq’s legacy. “What I hated the most is the fact that he always thought I was trying to be him or be like him,” he said. “If I wanted to be like you, shouldn’t that be a compliment?”

Despite Howard’s attempts to settle things, Shaq remains uninterested. “Now u have been deleted,” O’Neal declared. Howard, however, wasn’t done. “I know you care. Cuz yo insecure… been hating and talking… for 20 years,” he clapped back. While Shaq has claimed that he won’t be mentioning Howard anymore, it won’t be surprising if the two lock horns once again. With both legends refusing to back down, this feud isn’t ending anytime soon.
