Is Shaq's constant jabs at Dwight Howard justified, or is he just being a bully?

The beef between Shaquille O’Neal and Dwight Howard has been going on for quite some time now. Despite things seeming to cool down back in January, thanks to Shaq spilling the beans on how he behaves the way he does on Trae Young’s podcast, it seems like things are back to where they were. Recently, Howard made a post about the beef, with some evidence that Shaq isn’t letting it go.

Taking to social media, Howard posted, “The fact that we can’t end this one sided beef is petty.” He also posted an image of Shaq’s comment on a post regarding Howard, followed by his comment. In the comment, he also mentioned how Shaq blocked him on social media. He also added a video that combined snippets from Shaq and his interviews regarding the moniker “Superman.”

While the reason for the beef between the two has been left up to debate, many have said it was because each wanted to be the NBA’s Superman. While Shaq did own the nickname for years due to his dominance on the court, the 2008 Slam Dunk contest changed things. It was here that Howard wore a Superman cape for the event. This led to fans giving him the moniker, believing he was a fitting replacement for Shaq.

However, coming back to the post made by Howard, it gained a lot of attention from the fans who sided with him and called Shaq petty for stretching the drama. Howard has maintained silence on the topic till this post. This could result in Shaq leaving a retort for Howard’s post. While many would think this beef is pointless, Shaq believes it is his way to push the star to the potential he does have.

He did something I couldn’t do. I wish I could jump that high. I love Dwight Howard. Other people don’t know. This is my first time saying that.”

According to the NBA Legend, Howard isn’t living up to his full potential. He even called Howard his little brother and claimed that he wouldn’t let him slide because he believed in him. One could call this tactic motivational on Shaq’s end.

Moreover, Shaq mentioned that there wasn’t any hate between the two, and all he did was find ways to get Howard to where he believed he should be. While the two have previously said there was no longer any beef between them, this post does change things.
