On paper, the Lakers are a pretty stacked team. However, it seems like they haven’t figured out a balance where multiple players can contribute to the team’s success. The majority of the heavy lifting till now has been done by LeBron James, despite him being 38 years old. Apart from LeBron, Anthony Davis has come through in bits and pieces throughout the tournament so far. This begs the question, will this be enough for a championship-worthy season? Several fans, as well as pundits, believe that they need more than what we have seen from them till now.
Recently, the rumors around LaVine’s trade to the Lakers have been doing the rounds. The Chicago Bulls star could possibly soon be seen representing the LA franchise. The Lakers have made it clear that there is room for improvement in the team and are willing to make major moves to do that. However, which player can be traded for LaVine, is still not clear.
Robert Horry, on his podcast “Big Shot Bob”, recently discussed the rumor and had his pick for the player who could be traded. Horry said the Lakers could let go of D’Angelo Russell in their move for LaVine and it would be a good fit for them.
The 7x NBA champion also said that there is no other player he can think of from the roster who could be traded.
