There’s a limit to “stupid stuffCharles Barkley has lived and preached. Chuck had a wild era parallel to his playing career. It gives him some precedent to speak for Ja Morant and Draymond Green. He’s long been preaching that both troubled players need to change and stop letting down their team.

Barkley especially wants Green to show improvement so he can get back to the lineup. “I want to just tell Draymond, ‘We like you…but yo, at some point we can’t keep saying he’s a good dude, you know’.”

He further added, “Draymond I hope you’re getting the help that you need ’cause man, I think you’re a good dude but at some point if you keep doing stupid stuff you ain’t a good dude.” Given the heat Green is facing during his indefinite suspension, Barkley hopes a show of remorse will earn him favor the way it’s helping Ja Morant.

The 1993 NBA MVP then shined the light inwards addressing his “stupid” incidents both on and off the court. “Everybody says I did stupid stuff. Yeah, I did do stupid stuff. But at some point, I stopped…Because it’s not just about you, it’s about the team,” proclaimed a stuffy-nosed Charles.

Barkley and his TNT colleagues commended Morant for showing sincere reflection and stepping up for the team. He led the Grizzlies to a 115-113 win with a jaw-dropping buzzer-beater after returning from his 25-game suspension.

Green came back from a five-game suspension after grabbing Rudy Gobert in a chokehold and had another altercation. The Phoenix Suns legend repeatedly says he loves Green but is also his toughest critic. Some fans defend the 2017 DPOY by claiming that Chuck has a history of altercations too. He fully owns up to it though, because of a 1991 incident.

Chuck  meant to spit at a heckling spectator at a game but hit an eight-year-old girl instead. The infamous incident was a turning point for him. “I was just an angry young man. And that night, I learned a lesson.”

Barkley was remorseful and worked on being responsible for his actions though the rough-housing on the court didn’t cease till he retired. Today he’s a friend of that girl, Lauren, and her family. He credits her for changing his angry temperament.
