The Golden State Warriors faced the Charlotte Hornets on the road and Draymond Green was the highlight of the show once again. The Dub Nation secured a comfortable win with Stephen Curry‘s 23-point performance, but Green stole the limelight with a few controversial plays against Grant Williams, that caught the attention of the internet. Well, Washington Wizards icon Gilbert Arenas made an open remark about it as well.

The Warriors center has found it difficult to control his actions inside the court. Draymond Green has unintentionally injured a lot of players over the last few years. But today, fans did not hold back. A video of his physical altercation with the Charlotte Hornets star was showcased on X, and Arenas commented, “It’s just getting too easy now lol”. From the looks of it, he was pointing out Green’s injury-prone actions on the court. He was just a few inches away from receiving a flagrant call.

The last time he was ejected for ‘unnecessary contact’ was three months ago against the Phoenix Suns. While turning around, Green flung an arm and ended up slapping Jusuf Nurkic, and he was forced to leave the game. Right after this, Green got suspended for 12 games, and he was sent for counseling.

Despite all of this, it looks like he is finding it hard on the court. However, it might be too late to redeem himself now. Fans have already started to call him out. Notably, this is not the first time Green is indulging in a play like this. Remember his kick at Steven Adams?

Draymond Green’s famous kick to the groin in 2016

Green indulged in a similar play 8 years ago against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Grant Williams was fortunate this time, but Steven Adams was not in 2016. During the Conference Finals of the 2016 playoffs, Green accidentally kicked Adams in the groin which caused severe pain for the former Thunder center. This was initially called a common foul, but after review, it was made a flagrant call. He was also fined a total of $25,000.

Adams also revealed that he“actually shed some tears”, and his former teammate Russell Westbrook openly called out Green. The OKC guard told the media, “I honestly think it was intentional”, but Green and the Warriors denied it. However, Green was not able to escape the fine or the criticism. Well, here we are again, history repeating itself.
