In an interview for “CBS Mornings,” Magic Johnson gives a simple but crucial advice to ‘Washington Commanders’. He said, “I talked to the team yesterday. I told them it’s a process. I mean, you’ve got to believe in yourselves. In order to think that you’re the best in the NFL, you’ve got to practice like that.”.

The 5x NBA champion further explains, “You have to have the type of mindset that every game you over-prepare and then, when it’s game time, you go out there and execute the game plan.”. Magic Johnson drew parallels to his NBA career as he says, “I told them my story of how I’ve won my whole life, and how I dedicated myself to my sport and craft.”.

As a co-owner for the ‘Washington Commanders’, the Lakers legend finally revealed his game-plan for the new NFL season. He said, “What we are trying to do here is make sure that the city, the fans know that we are about winning. We are going to put the money into the team. What we want you to concentrate on is game-time every Thursday, or Sunday, or Monday. Focus on winning the game. That’s it.

The 64-year-old former champion seems to be fully involved in his new NFL team. Probably one of the main reasons to why Magic Johnson has had so many other successful business ventures.
