Every popular sport thrives on one particular contributor, the fanbase. Fans can make or break a franchise or league. As more attention one pays for enhanced fan experience, the better the revenue turns out. While the NBA has always prioritized fans, Andre Iguodala has plans to make it even better.
The Golden State Warriors veteran announced his retirement on October 20th, bringing his 19-year-long career to an end. However, Iguodala has no plans of living the retirement life just yet. The 39-year-old recently announced his plans on what he has to offer to the fans and it’ll be a totally new experience.

Iguodala has always been a few steps ahead of the herd. Even when he was an active player, the 39-year-old had his hands in several business ventures. He is also credited for bringing a different attitude to the Warriors camp. The other players on the team referred to him as their “big brother” for this very reason. Although he recently refused to spill the beans on his actual net worth, a fair assumption can be made about it based on the impressive line of companies he has a stake in. Now the 39-year-old wants to disrupt the market that caters to fans and their experiences in live events.
He recently told CNBC about his company Jump and what he is planning on doing in the near future. For a long time, Ticketmaster has been the go-to platform for fans for live events. However, the overburdened outlet turned out to be an opportunity for Iguodala to step in. He said, “We just see how fans are interacting with their teams in the stadium a little bit differently.” He also cited LA Clippers as a reference because they now have the most number of restrooms installed. Iguodala said that these “small things” make a big impact on the overall fan experience and that is the route he will be taking with his own company.
He said that Jump will allow fans to not miss out on any opportunity, even if they need to make a last-minute change in their plans.
