The Detroit Pistons legend retired from the NBA almost 29 years ago. Even then, however, he keeps himself updated on the latest happenings around the world of professional basketball. Including but not limited to, the associations of hip-hop artists and NBA franchises.

Prominent Canadian rapper Drake recently made an announcement, connecting with a $2.7 billion NBA team in the process. While Thomas highlighted the collab, other basketball enthusiasts were left sweating.

However, with his very expensive and very public bets, a phenomenon known as the ‘Drake curse’ began floating. The so called ?curse? is that teams or players suffer losses if they are associated with the Canadian rapper in any way.

With this context in mind, you might understand why some Suns fans would be sweating bullets. ??The Drake curse is still alive?, ?Please god don?t let Drake bet on suns games?, ?Just don?t let him wear a jersey that?s all.? Remembering how Devin Booker had to suffer because of the so-called ?Kardashian Curse?, a person wrote, ?Stay away. We don?t need another curse kardashians are gone now this mf.?

Though there were comedic jabs like ?Spanish drake incoming?, some Suns fans were not playing around. One of the concerned wrote, ?That?s all we need during a championship run a big distraction @champagnepapi access denied player!?
