Beginnings are special. NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal grabbed all eyeballs when he broke the news of investing in a new venture. The Superman’s intention of investing was as special as his venture’s work and fans could not help but praise Shaq for thinking about his country and students.
Shaq has joined hands with his business partner Tade Oyerinde to make college education more accessible for American students. And fans could not have been more delighted.

O’Neal spilled the beans about it when he spoke with the TMZ Sports about their company ‘Campus’ and how they can bring a change in the 2-year-degrees. Oyerinde who serves as the chancellor had founded the company in 2022 that helped students earn an online degree at economical charges. The USP of the Campus apart from being pocket-friendly is that the professors teaching there are from top American Universities such as the Princeton.
The company is backed by top entrepreneurs namely the OpenAI founder Sam Altman and billionaire Michael Bloomberg. Shaq too now has become a part of the esteemed investor panel. As per the Fortune, the investors have decided to splurge a total of $29 million. Highlighting the same fact, Shaq spoke at length about his wonderful decision and how it will benefit the USA in the long run.
“I like to invest in things that are gonna change people’s lives, and this will definitely change a person’s life. Everyone to be able to have access to world-class education is very important. When I first met Tade he told me ‘DFD. I was like, ‘What does that mean? Debt-free degrees,'” O’Neal stated as per TMZ Sports.
As everyone knows, student loans are a major problem in the USA, and students hold a debt of around $1.7 TRILLION. It was these humongous numbers that compelled O’Neal to invest for a cause that could completely change the way pupils perceive education.

As per Fortune, Shaq went on to opine the basic right of every student to hone their craft and have “access to world-class education.” The fee at campus is only around $7k for the year which will benefit a lot of students. Meanwhile, Shaq is also eyeing deals in sports.
What are Shaq’s other initiatives?
As per Bloomberg, Shaq had given an interview on Tuesday where he revealed his intention of buying an NBA team apart from investing in Formula One. He previously had a minority stake in the Sacramento Kings which he had to forfeit in order to become a brand ambassador for WynnBET. Previously, too he had attracted a lot of attention when he had expressed his wish to be a majority owner in the NBA.

Hopefully, Shaq will be successful in his venture of providing “Debt-free Degrees” for all. And going ahead he will also hold the reigns of an NBA franchise. His fans would be too excited that he is giving back to the community. No one can deny Shaq’s compassion for humanity.
