A month ago, Who’s Who from the celebrity world came together for a special cause. DJ Khaled joined forces with Michael Jordan for their second annual golf charity event. From Matt Barnes, Jeff Hamilton, Ice Spice, and Winnie Harlow, to Olympian Michael Phelps made the guest list. But. the 49-year-old recently revealed his special golfing bag, which once again was a huge inspiration from the Bulls icon.
“Shout out to Michael Jordan. He’s a big inspiration to me. I partnered up with him to do this beautiful golf classic for charity. You know it’s all about having that Jordan glove and that We The Best glove.” DJ Khaled spoke to GQ Sports about the event ‘We The Best Foundation x Jordan Golf Classic’ and the MJ partnership. While doing so, he highlighted his custom-made Nike shoes and other Jordan apparel.
“It’s very important to have a Jordan We The Best glove. These are special We The Best Foundation x Jordan Golf shoes. Then I got my We The Best Foundation x Jordan golf shirt. ” The shoes that he wore were the Air Jordan 1 Golf “Endless Pursuit”, which usually retail for $140. But DJ Khaled wasn’t wearing the regular shoes. They had inscriptions from the foundation logo to make it more special.

Previously, the DJ and record producer thanked the 6x NBA champion for being the pivotal figure in the partnership. ” I want to big up Michael Jordan, too. Michael Jordan is my partner in this golf classic and everything he’s done for this. But not just this. Everything he does like, he’s like an idol to me, somebody that gives back like this.” However, MJ was not the only basketball icon associated with the event.

Since the event happened in Miami-Dade County, the city’s basketball franchise’s icons had to step up. Alonzo Mourning and current superstar, whose future is uncertain, was also at the event. In fact, Jimmy Buttler teamed up with the Heat’s top scorer, Dwyane Wade, and DJ Khaled to pose for the ‘We The Best Foundation’s second annual Jordan Golf Classic,’
In that reel, the Grammy Award winner even made a joke about Wade’s statue. “You see my brother’s we here, we here! Show em the energy, get a picture. Get the statues ready.” But the Flash clapped back quickly during the conversation with Alexis Frazier of Local 10 news. “I want to have a little statue talk with. I just want to have a little statue talk with my guy Khaled. That’s why I came out.”

Apart from the Nike Jordan brand, even Cincoro, the premium tequila brand from MJ was on display during the event. Although Michael Jordan did not grace the event, Marcus Jordan was in attendance. With DJ Khaled’s initiative, it was another successful event to present a $25,000 check to Fore Life Inc., a South Florida non-profit.
