DJ Duties Send Shaquille O’Neal Back to $1.2 Million Rich Mansion as New Years Eve Craze Kicks In

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has huge plans for New Year’s Eve. The 4x NBA champion revealed that he is ready to go “crazy” during the recent episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq. Notably, this time, O’Neal would be celebrating the new year in Dallas after his DJ performance at the Lights All Night music festival. The Los Angeles Lakers legend is infamous for his wild parties during his playing career. After his performance, Shaq has the whole thing planned out.

During the show, Adam Lefkoe asked the Hall of Famer about the New Year’s Do’s and Don’t’s. O’Neal advised everyone to not drive intoxicated and suggested planning for transportation beforehand. This was when he disclosed his plans for the wild night. Shaq said, “This New Year’s I’m going crazy. I may take a couple of shots.”

Lefkoe was a bit surprised by this since the former center rarely consumes alcohol nowadays. O’Neal added, “Yeah. But I already know I’m not driving. I already got that set up.”

After reiterating not driving drunk, he talked about his show and his plans. The 2000 NBA MVP noted, “I got a show, right? We do my little show. I go on at 12:00. From 01:00 to 03:00 we are probably gonna just smoke some hookah and relax.”

Even though Shaq might not be in his hometown for the festivities, he could still enjoy the evening in the comfort of his mansion in Dallas. He purchased the property worth $1.2 million last year as per CultureMap.

Shaquille O’Neal is a party animal and fans don’t need any introduction about his bigger-than-life personality. During his playing career, O’Neal threw some wild parties and the stories about his New Year’s parties are wilder. Former Lakers cheerleader Paula Abdul once talked about Shaq’s parties during an appearance on the Jennifer Hudson Show. During her time with the Lakers, she lived in the same neighborhood as the Hall of Famer.

The former American Idol judge noted that she suggested the house while Shaq was looking for a mansion after joining the Lakers. Also, both of them were represented by the same business manager as well. She then talked about the former center’s New Year parties.

Paula noted that even if she does not mind parties, sometimes she just needs some quiet. However, Shaq would not allow that as a good host and neighbor. She recounted that O’Neal knocked on her door and picked her on his shoulder to a New Year party at his house. Paula was aware of what Shaq would do during the dawn of the new year and wanted to hide. She revealed, “But see I knew what happens at midnight. So right before the clock struck midnight I ran under the dining room table because what he does is he moons people and puts his butt on your head.”

Jennifer Hudson and the fans could not believe the Hall of Famer’s actions and burst out laughing.
