Shaquille O’Neal has got to be one of the most versatile men in the sporting world. Apart from his stellar career on the hardwood, he’s also an established musician who has collaborated with names like Snoop Dogg and Nas. However, we could’ve seen a very different version of Big Diesel. Recently, the Los Angeles Lakers legend opened up on a totally different endeavor that he wanted to take up when he was younger.

Turns out that the four-time NBA champion was open to the possibility of marrying a rich princess when he was younger.

Shaquille O’Neal on his potential royal past

The 51-year-old sat down with Lyndsey Parker of Yahoo Entertainment to promote his latest dubstep album. He also talked about his career and life outside of it. When asked about his other ambitions growing up he had an intriguing answer to share. He opened up about the possibility of being married to a royal princess.

Shaquille O’Neal was almost “a house husband. I want to marry a rich princess,” he confessed.

Donning the hat of a house husband and taking up the responsibility of a homemaker would certainly have been a sight to behold. Shaq, being a major personality, received an offer from a princess from the Middle Eastern part of the world.

The offer was for marriage. The former MVP had to reject that offer due to an interesting reason.

Shaquille O’Neal made it clear that despite him wanting to be a house husband he had to reject the royal proposal as they had conflicting personalities.

Shaq rejected a Middle Eastern princess

Shaquille O’Neal rejected the marriage proposal for a very peculiar reason.

He said, “She just came and we went on a date. But she was too way too aggressive for me. No, I didn’t (think about it). Because she wanted to pay for everything and I’m not used to that right? Like we went out to dinner and she’s like ‘oh no your money’s no good here’ and she pulled all that credit card.”

It seems that going for dinner with Shaq is a pro-bono event for everyone but the 2000 NBA MVP. He was also not a fan of her forward personality.
