Charles Barkley is best known as an NBA analyst. While he was unsure of his future when he debuted on “Inside the NBA,” later he came around to love his position. In fact, this is the show where he was able to get massive adoration from the fans for his honest and sometimes brutal opinion. However, there is reason behind him staying in the show for so long.

After an illustrious 16-year NBA career, the Round Mound of Rebound spent 23 years with TNT. In fact, last year, he signed a 10-year contract with the company. However, his actions seemed to contradict what he said earlier. Let’s see what really happened.

Charles Barkley loves his job at TNT

This year, Sir Charles celebrated his 23rd tenure with TNT. As he sat in an interview for the Jennifer Hudson Show, he shared a story about his time with the company. He shared how he wanted to leave the show after two years and find a proper job.

However, working with the TNT crew, he realized a good and beneficial thing about it. He said, “Then I realize that this is the easiest money I am ever gonna make…I ain’t going nowhere…they are paying me to watch basketball. It is like stealing.”

Charles Barkley backtracks on his previous claim

During his illustrious trajectory working with the ‘Inside the NBA,’ the 60-year-old has entertained people with his brilliance. However, in the All the Smoke basketball show, he revealed that he doesn’t wish to work at the age of 70. The athlete even shared about his plans to retire after his current contract expires.

However, in 2022, fans were surprised to find that the Philadelphia 76ers legend signed a 10-year contract with TNT. It seems that the NBA analyst still has many plans that will unravel in the upcoming shows.
