The funniest duo on sports TV probably ever are Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley. The two have built a relationship and reputation that aids their presence on TV. They’re known for their banters, bets and pranks that they pull on one another along with the other panel members, Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith. As two bonafide legends of their field, they also have good relationships with legends outside of the NBA.

A shocking yet hilarious showcase of the same was when the Philadelphia 76ers legend took help from a football veteran for forcing frogs down Shaq’s throat. Months after that event on TV, the 47-year-old football legend now became a victim of Barkley’s annoyance.

The 60-year-old grandpa of Little Henry is known for goofing around sets. Even during the taping of his shows and some live events, Barkley can’t help himself trying to entertain people. Every time he comes up with something, it’s an endearing moment as he is a larger-than-life personality who doesn’t take himself very seriously.

One other thing that the NBA on TNT team is notorious for is their bets and sometimes the randomness of it. One such bet caused Shaq to eat fried frogs on TV. So it is established that Barkley and the team are bound to bring a nuisance with them and it is always fun.

About a month ago, football veteran Kirby Smart was giving an interview to Rick & Bubba. They were talking about football strategies and the season he had with Georgia when Chuck decided to turn all eyes on himself. Chuck took a stance next to Smart which had the panel laughing. Smart was quick to say, “I don’t want no part of that,” looking at the position that the NBA legend was in.

The panel immediately reminded Sir Charles of the time when he admitted that he doesn’t like football. “Worst day of my life,” Barkley replied. Barkley had admitted on the Conan O Brien show that he played football once and gave up on it immediately.

“I played football one day in my life. Then I realized they were a bunch of damn idiots,” he had said about his experience.

Shaq had his bet on the TCU Horned Frogs saying that if Georgia Bulldogs beat TCU, he’ll eat frogs. Sure enough Coach Smart made history with his team as they became the first ever in the playoff era to win back-to-back college football championships.

True to his words, Shaq ate frogs on the show and interestingly, an important word of advice came from Smart as well. During his appearance on The Steam Room podcast, Coach said that if Shaq fries those frogs, he might be able to go through it.
