Dennis Rodman’s striking new tattoo has left people with mixed feelings. But it might be an inspiration for another NBA veteran. ICYMI, five-time NBA champion, Rodman got his girlfriend, Yella Yella’s face inked on the side of his face. Former Lakers icon Robert Horry was one of the many people who had something to say about it. On his podcast, Big Shot Bob, Horry discussed who he would get a face tattoo for, if for anyone at all. Horry’s answer to it was a touching one, too.
Rodman went to Black Ink Crew: Chicago star Van Johnson to get a likeness of Yella Yella on his face as a proclamation of his love for her. While discussing some NBA stars who got new tattoos recently, Horry had an interesting take on it.

Dennis Rodman has an iconic collection of body ink, but the latest one took the cake. In a video on Van Johnson’s Instagram unveiling the new tattoo, Yella Yella clearly loved that Rodman got her face tattooed on his right cheek.
Robert Horry and his podcast co-hosts discussed some of the NBA stars getting inked recently. LaMarcus Aldridge’s massive back tattoo of the Joker came up. But it was Rodman’s face tattoo that stirred a little discussion.
When asked if he would get the image of someone tattooed on his face, Horry had an instant answer. “This is an easy one for me… it’ll be my daughter.”
Horry is a dad of four – two sons and two daughters. His eldest child, Ashlyn, passed away in 2011 of a rare genetic disorder, at only 17. His love for his late daughter showed in his statement. Horry’s co-hosts also agreed that it was a reasonable tribute. However, Horry added he wouldn’t consider getting a tattoo for someone outside his family.

His co-hosts also played into the hypothetical situation but wouldn’t consider a face tattoo. They did toy with the idea of pulling a LaMarcus and getting their favorite Marvel or DC character inked elsewhere on the body.
