NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal made a fortune from his successful basketball career. The former center could have easily lived a comfortable life with his earnings. However, the four-time NBA champion did not rest on his laurels. The Los Angeles Lakers legend was very keen on entrepreneurship and decided to focus on businesses after his retirement. Shaq currently owns a lot of businesses all over the country. Notably, one of his recent ventures, which is worth $1.4 million, was lauded as better than the product of a $228 million worth company.

O’Neal was already a pioneer in endorsement deals during his time in the league. While most players just endorsed a product, Shaq partnered with the products which helped him rack millions.

Shaquille O’Neal has multiple times opened up about his love for food. Notably, Shaq only invests in products he believes in. So it is no surprise that Big Diesel invested in the food industry. Interestingly, O’Neal recently established his fast-food chain, Big Chicken. The venture has become one of his important businesses. The food chain has grown in popularity and its net worth is ever growing.

Recently, hosts of the famous YouTube channel Number Six With Cheese reviewed the food from one of Shaq’s food chains. The reviewers ordered Big Chicken’s popular Big And Sloppy sandwich with mac and cheese, crispy fried onions, and roasted garlic barbecue aioli right on their chicken sandwich. The hosts noted that the sandwich was priced at $9.95.

After taking just one bite of the sandwich, the flavors wowed both reviewers. Then they compared it with Popeyes. One host said, I’m impressed. This is already one of the better. I mean, it’s pricier than like the $5 Popeye, but this is damn good!”

Even though Popeyes are much more popular, the hosts felt Big Chicken’s sandwich was better despite the higher price. The other host stated that he usually thinks that food from a celebrity-run restaurant or chain could be subpar. However, he noted he was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the Hall of Famer’s brand.

Shaquille O’Neal once ditched his own food

Shaquille O’Neal is invested in Big Chicken and is one of the biggest faces of the fast-growing food chain. However, that does not restrict him from food from other chains. Interestingly, Shaq reportedly loved the food from a multi-billion dollar company as he was seen downing multiple In-N-Out cheeseburgers in one go.
