The seven-footer giant has reigned in the NBA for nearly two decades and had many achievements. But during this time, from his bitter feud with Kobe Bryant to Hack-a-Shaq free-throw struggles, Shaq was not a stranger to controversies. Moreover, Shaq’s recent controversy which was on a cool-down period has got a new life to it.

Maria Ozuna Teachey who is an Instagram influencer had posted a video (now deleted) on her Instagram story showing Shaq in a room with her and even sleeping on a couch. So how did it all start? Recently, the same influencer posted a picture on her Instagram with the caption, “Unapologetically us…Can Yall guess who feet?” The picture featured a big and muscular man wrapping his arms around a woman while clicking a mirror selfie. This picture instantly went viral on social media with people thinking the unknown man was Shaq for the structure of the body.

Shaq was however quick to address the viral video. He had posted a compilation video on Instagram striking the same pose with different women. By this post, Big Diesel seemed to have cleared all the confusion that had been building for Maria’s post. “Is this my girlfriend too, trust me I’ll let yall know who my woman is, and by the way my woman name is Shaqirah,” wrote Shaq as the caption of the post. According to Ranker, Shaquille O’Neal after his divorce in 2011 has dated six women, namely, Annie Ilonzeh, Laticia Rolle, Nicole Alexander, Laura Govan, Dominica Westling, and Karrine Steffans.

The new video posted by Maria has surely stirred the internet community and from the instant deletion of the post, it can be speculated both have been up to something. Shaq and Shaunie Henderson finalized their divorce in 2011 which marked the end of their nine-year marriage. Although over a decade has passed since their split, a few months back, Shaunie had revealed something that most people didn’t know about.

In May of this year, Henderson published her book by the name Undefeated: Changing the Rules and Winning On My Own Terms. This book delved into the details of her relationship with Shaq. “Looking back, I don’t know that I was ever really in love with the man, but I was in love with the idea of being married to the man I had a family with,” wrote Henderson. In this book, she also revealed that she was in love with the idea of building a life together with the NBA veteran and also mentioned that the time they spent together was memorable for her.

After the release of this book, Shaq also took to his Instagram to wish his wife all the best in her life. The Los Angeles Lakers legend had four children with Shaunie. These comments revealed that even though they had parted, they were on good terms.
