If you know Kevin Garnett, you will know that he is an extremely loyal person. He has always openly talked about his love for the city of Boston and the special bond he shares with the Boston Celtics. However, when asked he also ruthlessly shares his honest opinion on the teams that he dislikes.

In a recent social media post, however, the Boston Celtics legend contemplates moving to a basketball rival city. But why would he consider such a thing?

In a recent Instagram story, Kevin Garnett shares a post from Insider Business about a boomer living in Sarasota, Florida, who said he can’t wait to move back to California.?

The Instagram post mentions, ?The former Los Angeles resident said Florida’s weather and lifestyle have driven him to house hunt. He’s willing to pay more for a home and daily expenses to live more comfortably in California.?

The Celtic legend casually writes, “Might be time to make that move to Miami. The weather better(cap emoji)“. As of 2023, Kevin Garnett resides in Minnesota. He is a loyal Minnesota and Boston resident, who has played for both the cities? NBA teams during his NBA career. However, after listening to the Florida boomer?s experience, the NBA Hall of Famer is now considering moving to his? ?rival? city, Miami.

Back in the late 2000s and the early 2010s, constant comparisons were made between the two star-studded teams as to which team was better. Fans and sports media used to often compare the ?big three? of the Miami Heat versus the ?big three? of the Boston Celtics.

Considering the brutal trash-talking and the extremely physical playmaking that took place between players like Dwyane Wade (Miami Heat) and Paul Pierce (Boston Celtics), this rivalry between the two cities will forever be remembered in NBA history.

The Miami Heat ended up winning 3 NBA championships from 2006 to 2012 whereas the Boston Celtics were able to win only 1 NBA ring (2008). The current rivalry between the two teams is also at an all-time high. Both Miami and Boston faced off in the Eastern Conference finals of the 2022-2023 NBA season, with the Miami Heat emerging victorious in Game 7 of the series.
