Much like every year, Magic Johnson was on yet another one of his summer trips. Apart from his wife Cookie Johnson, another person who has stayed constant on these trips is Johnson’s close friend and Hollywood legend Samuel L. Jackson. This year’s trip that Magic started with his usual group of friends has come to an end with family members, leaving the LA Lakers star to push the final minutes of the vacation.

After nearly a month of exploring the streets and islands of Italy and Spain, the end was sure to bring weighing emotions for the Johnson couple. ‘Bittersweet,’ they termed it in a collaborative post. “It’s a bittersweet day as our family’s time on the boat comes to an end so we decided to stay on the boat for some special moments together,” the caption read as the last of the family photo from their trip framed the carousel.

Johnson further mentioned that the day for his family began with a hibachi lunch prepared by Chef Daisy, adding the right note to end the vacation on. “This family time has been incredible for Cookie and me! We’ve cherished every moment together, creating memories that will remain close to our hearts,” he added.

Buck started this summer trip from Barcelona, Spain in the first week of July. “We are officially on vacation!!” he captioned an IG post. The post featured Cookie and Magic Johnson, LaTanya and Samuel L Jackson, Vicky and John Palmer. But by the time the group was spotted in Ibiza, Spain for a lunch at Juan Y Andrea, Cedric the Entertainer and his wife Lorna had also joined in.

Around this time, the speculations were that Michael Jordan would also join in, considering he was spotted in Ibiza just earlier with his wife Yvette Prieto. And although Mike has hung out with this bunch, it seems he reserved this year for wife, children, and grandchildren. “We are truly grateful to have children and grandchildren who still enjoy spending time with us!” he pens, proud of his family.

As a result, Magic, Cookie, and their group of friends continued journeying through different locations until they were joined in by their children after two weeks into the vacation. Since then, the 5x NBA champ’s IG posts have been mostly about his family on the trip.

Some key highlight moments from Magic Johnson’s summer trip

One of the likely memorable moments from the trip included the group of family and friends celebrating the 4th of July on their boat itself. “A great day celebrating the Fourth of July with our friends overseas!” Johnson captioned the post, featuring moments of celebration.

Some other highlights of the trip have been Magic and Cookie’s outfits. One instance involved them donning a Dolce & Gabanna outfit for dinner at Ristorante Puny in Portofino, Italy. Meanwhile, in another instance, the couple, along with their group of friends, dressed up on the 80s theme for a party.

Yet another notable moment from the trip included the 12x All Star meeting legend Steve Harvey. “Out in Cannes, France today and ran into my friend and “Family Feud” host Steve Harvey...” Buck wrote while sharing a photo with Harvey. Now, the vacation that seemed to have kept Johnson’s IG users engaged has finally come to an end.
