It’s hard to think about basketball’s wild side without picturing Dennis Rodman—a man famous for his fierce hooping skills and unforgettable fashion style. Even two decades after his retirement, Rodman’s fashion legacy remains untouchable. But now, it seems like he might have a successor: his son, DJ Rodman. Recently selected by the Capital City Go-Go in the NBA G League draft, DJ seems to carry a bit of a similar flair, regardless of their differences.
Moving into professional basketball with the Go-Go, the Washington Wizards’ G League team, DJ Rodman’s career is officially on the rise. Taken as the 43rd pick, the 23-year-old forward has already gained attention for more than his hoops skills. Following his college days at Washington State and USC, DJ hit social media as The NBA G League shared his photo on Instagram, which he would later re-share on his IG story.
In his official photos, the young talent is seen posing confidently in Go-Go’s orange and blue, topped off with white sneakers. But the one thing to catch the eyes– orange and blue nail polish. Certainly reminds of the Rebound King.

“I love to paint my nails. Nothing wrong with that. Be you. Always,” the Chicago Bulls star had asserted in the face of criticism. Be it matching the metallic colors to his hair, black for a formal setting, or pink to make a statement, Rodman has done it all. But this is not to say DJ would be replicating his father. The two are known to have their differences with DJ even choosing to wish his mother on Father’s Day instead of the NBA star. So whatever the intention, the 23-year-old wants to be his own person. “whoever that is.”
He means it as he focuses on the court out of passion. His final season at USC saw him average 8.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game, shooting 44.0% overall and a respectable 36.2% from three. Though he went undrafted in the NBA, these numbers caught the G League scouts’ eyes, giving him a fresh opportunity to make his mark in pro basketball.
For DJ, the G League is more than just a stepping stone. As Chase Hughes from Monumental Sports Network notes, the Capital City Go-Go offers him the chance to prove his skills and maybe even make the leap to the NBA. After playing a game in the NBA Summer League with the LA Clippers, he’s set to build a reputation that’s all his own.

Dennis Rodman has always been unapologetically himself with wild hair colors, bold tattoos, and unmistakable style choices. Even when the NBA commissioner issued a warning, he stayed true to his look. Now, at 63, Rodman continues to break fashion boundaries.

Earlier this year, Rodman took center stage at Alexander Wang’s Pre-Fall 2025 show in New York City. Wang’s edgy all-black ensemble including baggy leather-like pants and a black fur, just seemed to introduce the icon. But it was the metallic studs on his head, paired with matching ones on his shoes, that made him an unforgettable standout.

Rodman’s style has evolved, but he remains in demand, recently collaborating with the high-end outerwear brand Moose Knuckles. It’s been five years since their first partnership, but Rodman knew how to make an impact. This time, he wore the Moose Knuckles logo on his head, promoting the $100 million.
For Rodman, these bold choices are about more than just fashion. They’re about self-expression. “I just took the chance to be my own man,” he told USA Today. With his latest fashion collabs and his iconic rebellious spirit, it’s clear Rodman isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
