Dwyane Wade's tribute to his mom—Is family the ultimate championship for this NBA legend?

Dwyane Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union don’t compromise on their date time. Amidst busy work-life clashes, Wade was seen out on a special date with his “favorite woman.” This person in question is none other than DWade’s mother who turned 70 this November 7.  Showing a sweet gesture for his brave mother, The Flash called for a month-long celebration for this special month. The Heat champ shared a recent selfie of himself and his mother on his Instagram story.

“All of November my first favorite lady is getting celebrated for turning 70th!!!! 70 Joe!,” Wade wrote. The two aren’t just celebrating on social media. As said before, the 3x NBA champ took his mother out for a lunch date. Some glimpses were shared on his Instagram. “Took my favorite woman on a lunch date yesterday,” Wade wrote on his story.

“I respect my mother so much,” DWade said as he looked at his mother years back when the  Flash had bought a church for Jolinda Wade. He was proud of his mother, who overcame all hurdles, from drug abuse to prison time, and was now stepping into a new phase of her life. Turning 70th is another milestone.

On the other hand, the Bring It On actress showed up for her friend and former co-star in Sister, Sister, Tia Mowry. She was in attendance at Mowry’s premiere of her reality series, Tia Mowry: My Next Act. Resharing an image from the party, she wrote, “Us trying to act professional at Tia’s premiere.” Gabrielle is also occupied with work as she had to be in Canada for the shooting of her new movie, Casket Girls.

Wade too visited Canada to spend some time with his wife. The couple shared snaps and snippets of them enjoying a date, walking to witness the beauty of the famous Mount Douglas Park in Victoria. The two were also spotted enjoying a meal at Shuck Taylor’s Oyster Bar, located on Blanshard Street. Not to mention Union’s joke on how “we are not those people” who went trekking in the freezing cold.

So, while Union was occupied with her work, Wade was seen making the most of his time by spending it with his mother and daughter. Not just Jolinda’s birthday, he had another reason to celebrate in November. Dwyane Wade‘s youngest daughter, Kaavia’s birthday, was also on the same day.

Before taking Kaavia out for a Barbie playdate on her birthday, Wade shared several pictures of his mother on his Instagram to wish her. In the end, he shared a picture of himself in it too. Wade and his mother were seen smiling as they hugged each other. “I love showing up for her,” Wade wrote as he posted the picture on his Instagram story.

In fact, he had begun celebrating his mother even before November began. Perhaps he had it all planned. After celebrating Gabrielle Union’s 52nd birthday, the Wades came together for his statue unveiling by the Miami Heat outside Kaseya Center. As a tribute to his parents, Wade had asked to engrave his mother’s name on the left shoe’s heel of his statue. His father’s name was placed on the right shoe’s heel.

Well, November or not, Wade doesn’t miss out on a chance to show love to his family and celebrate them.
