In light of this recent loss, many people who were formerly associated with the NBA have come out to place their opinions. They have listed the players that should be a part of next year?s national team. The Los Angeles Lakers legend?has joined these people as well, using social media to make his voice heard.

Shaquille O’Neal asks his followers to choose their next Team USA

A few hours ago, Shaquille O?Neal took to his official Instagram account to share a post with his 32.3 Million followers.

It featured a picture collage of over 10 current NBA players accompanied by the caption “TEAM USA VS WORLD”. Amongst the most prominent players were Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, Lakers legend LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo etc. Shaq even added Dallas Mavericks’ player Luka Don?i? to the list. Despite the fact that Doncic was a member of the current US Team, the Big Diesel appreciated the skills that the 24-year-old pulled off in the tournament.

The purpose of the post was to make viewers debate about which players they would like to see be a part of next year?s national team during the FIBA World Cup. Given the fact that most of the players on the list are their team?s most dominant athletes, they would be the ideal candidates for a hypothetical roster.

Shaq?s post comes only a few days after he shared another post, highlighting his picks for the 21 Century All-NBA Teams. With his recent post, however, Shaq had opened up the floor for debate and allowed the other NBA enthusiasts to state their opinion.

Kevin Garnett and Gilbert Arenas also make their voice heard

Big Diesel isn?t the only one who is pondering the question over next year?s representatives for Team USA.

Barely a few hours after Shaq shared his post, the Boston Celtics legend Kevin Garnett took to Instagram to share a post on his story. It highlighted players like Stephen Curry and LeBron James standing amongst ten other players, adorning the Team USA jersey. The imaginative scenario in itself was enough to hype up the 47-year-old, who commented, ?THIS THE TEAM. Right here?.

Before the Lakers and the Celtics legends could make their viewpoint public, former Washington Wizards player Gilbert Arenas beat them to it. He took to social media to express his dissatisfaction at the alleged excuses that the TEAM USA committee was giving for their loss. Challenging them to ?put out the best 12 players? for the 2024 Team USA roster, Arenas suggested a few names in the caption of his online post. This list was also filled with similar names like James, Curry, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, etc.
