Don’t tell Aries Spears that “Michael Jordan had no left.” He won’t hold back. The comedian was not being funny about the recent TikTok trend to diminish the ’90s sports scene. That decade was, of course, dominated by MJ and the Chicago Bulls. But certain TikTokers have selectively compiled evidence to make an argument against His Airness. The biggest Jordan fan, Aries Spears was having none of it.
While on ‘VladTV’, the ’90s discussion came up and Spears asked his interviewer to, “I’m gonna need you to let me rant.” He dismantled the ‘We Done With the 90s’ trend for what it is. “They’re showing clips as far back as [Larry] Bird, Magic [Johnson], all the legends, Isiah [Thomas], and they’re showing these guys basically having sports bloopers.”
The “Michael Jordan has no left” campaign was kickstarted by a TikToker compiling ‘evidence’ of his lack of ambidexterity. A counter-campaign by fans proved that MJ could use his left hand and make the shot count when it mattered. Spears reminded fans that all athletes have those moments and they don’t prove anything.

“They fumbled the ball, they turn it over, and they saying that based on that these dudes is trash? How incredibly stupid it is!” Aries Spears even gave a nod to Shaquille O’Neal‘s popular TNT segment, ‘Shaqtin a Fool’ to prove athletes have embarrassing moments in every era.
The entire trend has triggered Spears that he tried to meditate before his rant. To whoever started the down with the ’90s trend, he called them, “Pedialite-drinking, Similac-breath-having, wet-behind -the-ears young [expletives]” who make him sick. And that wasn’t all from the 48-year-old Michael Jordan fan.

Aries Spears dissects the reason behind the anti Michael Jordan spiel
Younger fans claim they were deceived by the quality of play in the ’90s NBA. Some claims about Magic Johnson were there too with video compilations of his misses. The very same Magic whose monster stat with no turnovers in 1989 was the last ever until Luka Doncic repeated it in 2023. Some names like Jamal Murray and the actor, Joshua Neal slammed it.

Aries Spears is only the latest but possibly the harshest. After using a string of expletives to describe the immature minds behind this propaganda, he said, “it’s actually become trendy and popular to devalue Michael Jordan.” Spears may also strike a nerve for pointing out that this is young social media users’ desperation to be relevant and there’s a bigger problem at play. But he’s not going to condone Jordan slander because of that.
