Keion and Shaunie Henderson may be Coach Prime’s favorite couple, but that does not bring in blind support. Especially not when Deion Sanders is involved in a profession that involves recognizing and polishing real talent. However, it’s a different area from the one Sanders specializes in which Shaunie has tried her hands at.
The 49-year-old shared a video of her failed yet hilarious attempt at playing drums. “I’M A REAL DRUMMER NOW…” she wrote in the caption. The additional laughing emoji in the caption clearly reflected even she was not serious in her opinion.
But Coach Prime still, in good humor, took the opportunity to bust Shaunie Henderson’s myth. “No ma’am…” he wrote along with a series of laughing emojis in reply to Henderson’s caption. The 49-year-old shares a friendly bond with the Colorado Buffaloes’ head coach and even collaborated with him on her book Undefeated.

The collaboration came in the form of a celebration of Henderson’s memoir making it to the top spot on the NY Times Bestseller list. The celebration was a part of Shaunie Henderson and her husband, pastor Keion Henderson, leading the second annual Cry Out Experience. “Cry Out is dedicated to fostering a profound practice of surrender and submission, leading us on a transformative journey of healing and restoration,” the official website for the annual event states.
The second edition of the annual event also featured Deion Sanders, which is reported to be the first time he met the Undefeated author. Following the event, the Buffaloes coach shared some backstage photographs with Shaunie and Keion. “1 of my favorite couples,” read the caption to one of his IG stories.

During the aforementioned backstage interaction, Shaunie asked Sanders to detail his one undefeated moment. The 49-year-old even shared the video of the backstage interaction on her official IG account. The 58-year-old coach stated how initially he believed things to be about him and what he could do.
But things changed to “what we can do” when he surrendered to God. “And then I had to realization and understanding that he wants me to win because if I lose I’m representing him. Then he loses,” Sanders added. The Colorado coach further mentioned that this belief system furthered his faith in trusting the process. And even in the face of failure, Coach Prime does not lose faith in the process.
He believes the Lord wants him to be in light and even if he’s not being successful; he views it as an indication to learn. “… I need to learn throughout this process of what’s transpiring and what he’s (God) trying to teach me to expedite this foolishness,” he said. No wonder Coach Prime clicked so well with pastor Keion and his wife Shaunie Henderson in the first interaction itself.
