Multiple notable faces at the celebration of AC Milan and Cincoro Tequila’s partnership launch, but Michael Jordan stayed missing. The partnership, announced on the 22nd, came as an aide to the latter’s aim of global expansion, and a lavish dinner on the occasion, was sure a given. More so, with the brands donning leading sports figures for investors and stakeholders. Thus, while the popular co-owner remained absent, the sea of glam remained intact.
The official Instagram account for the tequila brand shared a series of Instagram stories featuring some guests of honor. Among the popular faces in attendance was tennis star Serena Williams, who recently became one of the co-owners of Cincoro. Michael Jordan himself made the official announcement through a press release shared with Essence.
“Now that we’re welcoming in some of my closest friends to the business, I’m looking forward to this next era of Cincoro alongside this all-star team,” read the statement. Some other recent additions to the co-owners club of the brand include Derek Jeter, Dustin Johnson, Keegan Bradley, and Michael Strahan. However, there is no official confirmation if, apart from Williams, any of the new co-owners joined in the event.

Meanwhile, one of the most surprising entries at the celebratory night included football star Zlatan Ibrahimović. The 42-year-old played with AC Milan for almost half a decade throughout his career. And although he retired in June last year, Zlatan returned to the club as an advisor to club owners RedBird in December.

Yet another notable face in attendance of the closed and exclusive dinner was Travis Scott. It is worth mentioning Scott shares a friendly bond with MJ. There is an instance that goes back to 2020, when Mike had lent his mansion in Highland Park, Illinois to Scott for his music video, ‘Franchise.’ But the video not only features the 6x NBA champ’s mansion, but also his Cincoro Tequila, during a poker-table scene.
Why did Michael Jordan miss the event marking a major partnership for his brand?
As aforementioned, Cincoro’s partnership with AC Milan meets the brand’s aim of scaling globally now. “This extraordinary partnership allows us to introduce Cincoro’s rich and delicious taste to discerning Italian consumers and international travelers alike,” Emilia Fazzalari, Cincoro Tequila Co-Founder had said.
So it would seem less likely for the Chicago Bulls legend to miss such an important event. But His Airness is presently serving the duties of a family guy, as he is on a vacation in Europe. Most recently, Mike and Yvette Prieto were spotted strolling through the summer vacation hotspot of Portofino, Italy.
Notably, the 6x NBA champ is known to vacation hard, and has been on it for almost a month now. While this year it’s just his wife and him, MJ and Prieto were accompanied by Magic Johnson, Samuel L. Jackson and many more. However, what’s clear from his recent vacation is that Michael Jordan does not mix work life with family time.
