It’s Charles Barkley again! And this time’s target is none other than his future workplace. Despite loyalty to Turner, Inside the NBA is said to be moving. With Turner’s failure to receive broadcast rights,  Sir Charles wants the deal with ESPN to work, instead of going to Amazon or NBC. However, Chuck has an issue with their work schedule. Hold one, there’s one more, he also has an issue with the network’s extreme coverage of certain teams. And guess who agrees with him? Shaquille O’Neal.

In the latest segment of Inside the NBA, Chuck called out the media for their excessive coverage of the Lakers and Warriors. While Barkley noticed these two teams finally improving, he had an issue with their their seven-game winning streak being claimed as “Saving the NBA.”

Barkley pointed out that the other two teams Cleveland Cavaliers and Oklahoma City Thunder, have been playing much better than the others, throughout this season. Oh and this rant went on for longer than usual. Although its not surprising as he often expresses these concerns. O’Neal first chuckled at the intensity of Barkley’s rant. But once he put the jokes aside, he agreed with the Barkley’s argument.

“I agree with Chuck we need to hear about the guys that’s playing better but listen this been going on a long time when you have two of the premier faces in the league on one team they get most of the notoriety,” O’Neal said. The Lakers have been playing well after Luka Doncic teamed up with LeBron James.

We don’t get impressed by winning games. Can they win a championship? I don’t think so. Can Golden State win a championship? I don’t think so, however you catch a lucky break you get the right matchup they have enough talent to get it done but I’m happy for the Lakers yes they are playing well but couple weeks ago when Chuck made that that statement they did stink,” the 4x NBA champ added

In just a few more months, Sir Charles will be sitting on the other side. And if, by any chance, he forgot, his future colleague was quick to remind him.

Stephen A Smith’s response to Charles Barkley’s rant

Sir Charles’ lengthy rant quickly went viral on social media. Seeing the rant, Stephen A. Smith responded on X. He also had an issue with Chuck. He wants the retired NBA player to be direct about his claims and reminding him that he, too, has been talking about the Cavaliers.

What’s your perspective on:

Are the Cavaliers and Thunder the real underdogs, overshadowed by media's Lakers obsession?

Have an interesting take?

Taking to X, he wrote, “Yo Chuck, stop the b.s. with the “y’all.” Attach a name to it. I know I’ve been talking about @cavs being the No.1 threat to the @Celtics . Once you come over here, there’s gonna be some folks waiting to call YOU a fool. P.S. You know I love ya, though. See y’all soon. Yo @TheJetOnTNT ….workbook those free throws😀. Love y’all.”

But it seems Sir Charles issues still have no end. Not just with extreme coverage of Los Angeles Lakers,  the extreme discussion of the famous LeBron James vs. Michael Jordan debate also bothers him. He was quite harsh as he asked people to stop bringing the 90’s everytime. “I’ve said it for years, the only people talking about LeBron and Michael is people on television who got no talent to talk about anything else,” he said.

Aside from that both, Shaq and Chuck appreciated the Lakers and the duo of James and Doncic. Now, what is your take on Chuck’s rant?
