It was a long day at Studio J for Charles Barkley as Inside the NBA had to cover two dull games in the afternoon and evening. The Oklahoma City Thunder vs the New Orleans Pelicans and the Cleveland Cavaliers vs the Orlando Magic did not live up to the hype. So, Barkley decided to make a special appearance on the sets of ‘NHL on TNT‘ to make a wild prediction on a playoff series. At the end of the day, it looks like it was just a bad night for Barkley at the office because nothing went his way.
The Philadelphia 76ers legend joined TNT’s NHL broadcast. The 61-year-old shared with the co-hosts, “First of all, I want to thank you guys, ’cause y’all have given us great hockey today. We had three crap basketball games today. So thank you.” The first three playoff games in the NBA were blowouts today. The OKC Thunder defeated the Pelicans, 106-85, the Orlando Magic beat the Cleveland Cavaliers, 112-89, and finally, the Boston Celtics beat the Miami Heat, 104-84.
After a slow day in the NBA, Barkley was finally excited to join the sets of NHL on TNT, where he was asked to pick a winner between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins. Barkley boldly said, “Hey, Toronto is going to win tonight. Toronto is locked tonight. I cannot wait.“

The co-hosts were in denial of Barkley’s pick, but he was adamant about his choice. Sadly, he should not have ignored the warning.

The Toronto Maple Leafs put a disappointing end to Charles Barkley’s sad night
The Maple Leafs were trailing down 1-2 in the series before Barkley made his prediction. Although it was a home game for the Toronto unit, the Boston Bruins went on to beat the Leaf, 3-1, to secure Game 4. Now if you look back at Barkley’s words, we all can understand why he is always the laughing stock. But that’s the Chuckster for you. Hilariously, he also brought the ‘Guarantee’ button to the sets of NHL on TNT.

Before the game started, the 1993 NBA MVP smacked the button and shouted, “Guaranteed“, to side with the Maple Leafs, but now, they are down 1-3, on the brink of elimination. However, he made two good predictions about the NBA games today.

He went with the Orlando Magic and the Boston Celtics to win their respective match-ups, and as expected, they showed up. However, the games were a bit too boring for Barkley. We have four more interesting games tomorrow. Let‘s hope Charles Barkley gets entertained!
