Charles Barkley would 'sh*t on' Dwight Howard—do you agree with this brutal assessment?

Charles Barkley or Dwight Howard — Nick Young’s one simple question quickly escalated into debates and varied opinions. It all started with Young taking to his X account asking “If you starting a team who you taken Barkley or Dwight first.” While there were multiple responses, one in particular caught Howard’s own attention.

An X user, while leaning towards Barkley as a preferable option, stated Chuck “got more dog in him than Dwight.” He further claimed that the 11x All-Star would mentally bully D12 on the court. But still, if it comes to starting a franchise, the X user claimed he would pick Howard. The former Orlando Magic star, however, did not like the claim that Barkley had more dog in him.

“Go to sleep… I was sending your fav players shot to the bleachers and had people afraid to come to the hoop & you talking about someone being a dog,” D12 wrote, responding to the X user. For what it’s worth, the 8x All-Star’s 3x DPOY, 5x rebounding leader, and 2x blocks leader accolades do speak volumes in his favor.

But the argument again comes down to who had more of that fire in himself that could really trouble the opponents on the court.

While Dwight Howard was himself a player of fierce nature and competitiveness, Charles Barkley stands in a different category, considering some major instances.

Have an interesting take?

Whether it be his elbow to Herlander Coimbra at Barcelona Olympics or his altercation with Hakeem Olajuwon, the list is long for instances depicting the 11x All-Star’s fierce nature. If he didn’t back down against Kareem Abdul Jabbar in 1990, the chances are thin that he will be “afraid” of Howard if not anything else. But let’s see how fans have reacted to D12’s claim on X.

Dwight Howard’s comment in Charles Barkley debated attract mixed yet some extreme response

“Just ask CHAT GPT” stated the X user who ignited this whole debate with Howard in the first place. Writing this, he even posted a screenshot of the ChatGPT’s response. The AI-Gen tool, in its final verdict, declared Barkley as someone with a better overall career.

Meanwhile, one user took a dig at the 8x All Star’s claim of having more “dog” inside him by using Kobe Bryant as a source. “You sure you was a dog?” he wrote while sharing Bryant’s GIF calling out “soft”. A reference to the time when the 5x NBA champ used the word for Howard.

“[Charles] Barkley would shit on you Delight,” wrote another. The comment may seem an exaggeration but if 7’2″ Dikembe Mutombo with 4x DPOY didn’t completely limit the 11x All-Star, chances are slim that Howard is doing it. As per StatMuse, Chuck averaged 19.5 points per game from all the face offs he had against the 3x blocks leader.

However, some showed faith in the 3x DPOY capabilities, aforementioned accolades and his own never backdown nature. “Nah, D12 would manhandled CB,” commented one user.

“Dwight got some CB don’t tho 🏆” read one comment. It’s true that the championships are solely not what defines a player, but they surely are an important aspect of any NBA star’s career. And Dwight Howard managed one with the Lakers in 2020. Even if it was not during the time that the 8x All-Star was at his peak. Meanwhile, Barkley stays among the players termed as “best players who did not win a ring”. Karl Malone, Reggie Miller and Carmelo Anthony being some other names.
