Charles Barkley is set to premiere his new show with TV personality Gayle King. The highly awaited project has been in the making for a long time. In the process, they have also faced several challenges and delays. This led to people forming assumptions about Chuck’s relationship with Gayle.

However, the NBA veteran recently cleared the air on his upcoming project. In conversation with his “godfather”, Barkley revealed a secret pact he has made with his co-host, along with some other important details about their show.

Barkley is no stranger to television now. He is part of one of the most popular shows on sports TV, ever. He is known for his hilarious anecdotes, banter with his co-hosts, and unfiltered opinions about anyone or anything. Barkley joined the TNT crew on Inside the NBA back in 2000 after concluding a stellar NBA career. Since then, he has maintained a very high standard in his work as a sports analyst. However, that is not all that Barkley has his eyes set on.

He is coming out with another show on CNN along with Gayle King, titled King Charles. However, there was a lot of fuss surrounding this show as speculations indicated that the two are not on good terms anymore. On a recent episode of The Steam Room podcast with Ernie Johnson, Chuck addressed the rumors. He said that there is no “bickering” going on between the two behind the scenes. As per the NBA veteran, he is still on very good terms with Gayle and is looking forward to the premiere of their show on Wednesday. Barkley even compared his relationship with Gayle to his relationship with Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith.

He jokingly said that he hates Shaq but only talks bad about him “behind his back”.

Charles Barkley’s pact with his co-host

Sir Charles has always been a man of his word. On The Steam Room episode, he unveiled a pact that he has made with his co-host of the King Charles show. He said, “Me and Gayle made a pact. When we talk bad about each other, we won’t do it publically”. Chuck said that there is no negativity brewing between them and he fails to understand where the media comes up with these stories.

He said that such things bother him, when something wrong or out of context is reported as truth. So despite all the uproar, Sir Charles is looking forward to the premiere of their show for the fans.
