It’s safe to say Charles Barkley hates the NCAA committee now. College athletics have been one of the biggest markets for America. Given the fame and viewership it holds, money-making is one crucial aspect of this sports industry. But not everyone has been a fan of this. Barkley has openly criticized many controversial moves made by the NCAA committee. One such is the transfer of famous teams like UCLA and USC to the Big Ten conference.
According to the Philadelphia 76ers legend, the NCAA has screwed up college athletics. There is something common in all the sudden and unexpected moves made by them over the last few years. All of it involves an idea to increase the business. While business is a part of college athletics, it shouldn’t be ruining the very purpose of changing athletes’ lives.
Barkley has once again called out NCAA President Charlie Baker. In a newly released YouTube interview, the 60-year-old shared, “We screwed up college athletics. It has started affecting good matchups, which is what the fans are hinting at.

In the same interview, Barkley shared his thoughts about the player transfer protocol in the NCAA right now and how it has been concerning. The lenient rules have allowed bizarre moves which Barkley believes are ruining sports. He said, “I think in the next three years we’re going to have about 10-15 schools…It’s going to become a bid war and I’m just concerned where the sports’ going.” Apart from this, he also spoke about the support-less committee which is being run by Charlie Baker. There are several changes that Barkley has suggested in the last few years.
