The Chicago Bulls fans put up a disgraceful act Friday night. Booing over a dead man’s name as his wife is being requested to accept the Ring of Honor on his behalf has brought shame to the Bulls franchise. It seems like the NBA veterans, fans, and experts are not going to let this act go easily.
Charles Barkley recently bashed the Bulls fans for their act. In fact, he has always been on Jerry Krause’s side, especially based on his 2020 conversation with Colin Cowherd.

Cowherd asked Sir Charles if he had experienced playing for a needy or jealous general manager. Toward the end of his question, he added Krause’s name as an example of those traits. Barkley said, “Colin, I’m going to have to stop you there because I think you’re 100% wrong on this one. Jerry Krause probably was needy, but the guy that you are letting off the hook is Jerry Reinsdorf.” Their conversation took place when The Last Dance was on air and people were starting to form negative opinions on Krause.
“In episodes 1 and 2 everyone talked about how much money Scottie Pippen made. Michael barely made more money than Scottie, and over their careers Scottie made more money basketball-wise than Michael. Mike only made money those last two years”, Barkley added. The NBA veteran then went on to reveal why he thinks Reinsdorf broke the Bulls. He said, “Reinsdorf broke up the Bulls for one reason: he didn’t want to pay Michael anymore and it was time to pay Scottie.” Sir Charles did agree that Krause had the ‘little man syndrome’ but it “was all about Reinsdorf not wanting to pay those guys.”

It’s safe to say that Barkley has never been overly critical of the ex-Bulls GM. So, when the fans had an embarrassing moment during Friday’s ceremony, he was not going to tolerate it. He said, “What those fans did to Mrs. Krause, that was not cool, and everybody involved owes that lady an apology, whether you like Jerry Krause or not, that man’s dead, RIP. His wife is there and y’all made that lady cry and that was total BS.”
Sir Charles said that he was hurt watching it unfold, and that it is unforgivable. He also talked about the Bulls legends missing the ceremony. Barkley said that Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman not showing up to the event, despite being the biggest names for the franchise, was wrong.
