The Chicago Bulls have secured the 9th seed by defeating the Detroit Pistons by 22 points today. This gives them a home-court advantage in the play-in, and fans will be present to cheer for the Bulls, despite their volatile run this year. Charles Barkley, who didn’t believe the 38-42 Bulls even had a chance to win the NCAA Championship during the March Madness coverage, has surprisingly shown interest in covering Chicago’s possible playoff run this year, but the reason behind it is hilarious.
On Inside the NBA today, the TNT crew discussed a viral play from Tuesday night’s game between the Chicago Bulls and the New York Knicks. Bulls forward Torrey Craig, who stole the ball from Bojan Bogdanovic, ran for a fastbreak where he decided to throw a lob to himself. Before he could complete the play, he was intervened by his teammate Andre Drummond, who thought the lob was for him. Hilariously, Craig missed the basket after Drummond collided with him. After witnessing this, Barkley now wants to watch the Bulls live.
He shared, “That’s the dumbest play I’ve ever seen in my life. Ever...They[Bulls] go to play-in against the Hawks. We get tickets to that? We should take the show on the road.” Co-host Ernie Johnson doubted if that would be possible, “I don’t how many games we have.”

But Barkley chimed in, “Imma call Adam Silver and see if we can do the play-in game, Bulls against the Hawks.“ All this is only to witness more potentially hilarious play by the Bulls, but live.

Charles Barkley blatantly mocked the Bulls today, but the last time he spoke about them, it was more brutal!

Chicago Bulls got thrown under the bus by Charles Barkley to uplift the NCAA
The NCAA tournament came to a blistering end with the men’s UConn Huskies and the women’s South Carolina Gamecocks lifting the titles. March Madness has always brought out the competitive side of college basketball as all the games are a do-or-die. The games played by these youngsters were fascinating and Barkley used this to call out the Chicago Bulls for their underwhelming performance this season.
On a previous episode of Inside the NBA, he shared, “Let me tell you something, the Bulls couldn’t win March Madness…They’d be a No. 4 seed.” The Bulls have been stuck in the 9th seed forever. They have locked the 9th spot for the play-in at least, but fans do not have high hopes for them. Even if the Bulls make it past the play-in, they will most likely be facing the Boston Celtics in the first round for a 7-game series. Let’s wait and watch if the DeMar DeRozan and Co. can turn the tables around.
