The NBA on TNT crew are the best roast kings on sports media. Unfortunately, this time on the receiving end was Charles Barkley. And not just once, the TNT crew roasted him twice with their verbal jabs and hilarious antics. To wrap up their latest segment of the show, the TNT crew including Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith decided to play a simple game of poker. While it’s just poker, the winner wasn’t going home empty-handed. The crew prepared a lavish line of prizes such as bottles of vodka and more. The stakes were certainly high, with a coveted prize awaiting the winner.

However, not unfamiliar with the game Barkley got the short end of the stick as his luck didn’t work out this time. More like confronting his awful past, Sir Charles lost to his frenemy Shaquille O’Neal. The winner, the Big Aristotle not only claimed the special prizes but also earned an extra reward, a precious day off. As O’Neal grabbed his prize, Barkley couldn’t hide his disappointment, dropping his head in defeat. Here is the clip in case you missed it.

Well, this is not the first time he lost in a poker game. To add insult to injury, this is also not the first time that Barkley was roasted in this segment. Just moments ago in the show, co-host, Johnson, couldn’t resist poking fun at Barkley for the same.

Charles Barkley’s tumultuous past with betting

As the TNT crew was occupied dissecting the Los Angeles Lakers game with the Denver Nuggets, Barkley picked on Austin Reaves and said, “What the hell is Austin Reaves doing leaving Michael Porter Jr. open?” That’s when Ernie saw an opportunity to tease him and unapologetically remarked, “He’s gambling and losing. You should know all about that.”

Barkley’s gambling issues date back to the 1980s when he played for the Philadelphia 76ers. Soon these habits turned into a full-blown addiction. As per sources he was often drawn to Las Vegas casinos. Rather than winning, Barkley’s losses began accumulating and he ended up losing quite a good amount from his prize money.
