Apart from all the superstars in the league coming together for the All-Star weekend, Draymond Green and Charles Barkley joining forces for ‘Inside the NBA’ had fans excited the most. Well, the two are in front of the camera now and they have already started to get into it. It started with a disrespectful comment from Philadelphia 76ers legend Barkley, who shared his thoughts about the 2025 All-Star venue.

San Francisco, i.e. the Golden State Warriors, is the host for the All-Star game next year. However, Barkley might not be a huge fan of it. Green thanked Commissioner Adam Silver for choosing “great cities” like Indianapolis and San Francisco for the All-Star weekend. The 4x champion said, “For All-Star, we got San Francisco next year,” and Barkley replied, “Oh, that’s not a great one.

Obviously, that did not sit well with Green. The 2016 DPOY told Barkley, Relax. That’s why you’re not welcomed there,as co-host Shaquille O’Neal started laughing. The Los Angeles Lakers legend also took this chance to get into the good books. He said, “I love you San Francisco,” taking the safe side. But why does Chuck not like San Francisco?

This is not the first time Barkley has shown his disapproval of the famous city. The 1993 MVP is not a huge fan of the cleanliness there. Climatic variations and harsh weather have not been sweet to San Francisco. Yet Barkley wouldn’t want an All-Star weekend there.

However, Green managed to convince the Hall of Famer. Replying to Barkley’s claims on Dub Nation being “dangerous,” Green said, “They cleaned it up. It’s looking real good, I promise you. We had a conference in the city three months ago and it has changed everything.”

Anyhow, considering Barkley’s harsh words about the city from two years ago, it looks like he is still not convinced.

Charles Barkley highlighted San Francisco’s “dirty a** streets”

For starters, the Sixers icon termed San Francisco as “hell“. In 2022, Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals was impacted due to heavy rains. However, Barkley believes the weather was not the only problem there. He said, “The only bad thing about all this rain? It’s not raining in San Francisco to clean up those dirty a** streets they got there.”

He also mentioned the “dirtiness and homelessness” which he did not like in the Golden City. Well, these are some heavy claims from Chuck. Anyhow, Green has promised a change. What are your thoughts? Do you agree with Barkley’s take? Share your take in the comments below.
